good video thanks.it makes sense why the high riser was developed to increase port volume and flow with a taller port not wider.theres always a compromise some where using conventional head parameters.

From an old Yellow Bullet post several years ago regarding AWA composites:

"I sent them an email and the response: $1200 per con rod, $1500 per piston, $315 per pushrod, $595 per lifter pair and $500 per rocker.... Definently a solution for someone with deep pockets and or max effort build goals."

Not quite cost effective for most folks.
funny,i remember ford tried compost rods in there 4 cyl race engine,in the 80s and as you can guess it didnt go well! deep pockets are a must here

thats a little in mho.unless they have new aftermarket valves, guides, seats, etc!any work they made need will ad at least $1,000 to the cost.

i am a little late to this but i can tell you what i learned about porting boss heads.i sent my heads to kaase to have them and his intake ported, and they told me that they may not make more power with porting.i still did that and dont regret spending the money, but what i should have done was have a 2.450 intake valves installed instead!
that would add 100 hp over just porting and more airflow!ported, the intake port flowed 460,and as a 11.6 comp pump gas 557 it made 912 hp on dyno at 6900.still with the kaase 2.300 intake valve.but i now see adding bigger valves on these heads makes more hp.
kaase made 914 on unported boss heads with 10.0 comp on his 521 ci.
also, this article states that about porting.boss heads have a much better quality of flow entering the cylinder than most wedge heads.ford did a lot of research on swirl etc in the 60s to come up with this.its a good read.

also heres more infor on the 460 forum about the hi-port version on kaase boss heads.big numbers on flow and hp!

428 block bore 30 over
Barry Motorsports heads matched to a elderbrock Rpm manifold.  Compression  10.4. Stock Adjustable rocker arm
780 vacuum secondary carb.

why not talk to barry about your ideas?or brent lykins he is on here as well.
how much hp does your engine make?and how much more do you want?and where are you located?
those heads flow pretty good out of the box,so maybe more cam duration? what cam is it, i ran a 428 with hydrauic roller with 232 @ .050 and loved it.tire smoker for sure and that was withe 428 cj heads and mild porting.
