Thanks gents, we'll figure it out.  I tried attaching from my computer and the files are too large.  I am using a hosting site, I've gotta be close to right cause they'll post but they just don't last.  If I can work this out I've got Beaver Springs video and photos to share, so I'll keep diggin' till I get it right.

Wanted to see if I could post a photo.  Didn't work, posted but didn't last.  I know there are tutorials on the process here and elsewhere, just need to figure out where I'm going wrong.  In the meantime this post can be deleted-
Thanks

Well, couldn't upload, hope some one else has the run.  Slow and stop motion shows daylight under the steers on the upshift long enough for the gale force winds to take effect.

I'll send now.  I've watched it several times, check the flags.  The wind was howling on this run.

Looking for video of one of my runs....
Despite the crappy weather I did enjoy going again this year. Met new  FE friends in our pit area!! If I don't get to say Hello it's because I'm just a quiet guy and listen more than talk. The video I'm looking for is in round one of Hot FE. I was running John Pregitzer with a baby blue 66 Fairlane hardtop. My car is the 67 White Fairlane 500 Hardtop plain jane no lettering #1053 on the window. I need to see what went wrong on that run. I have never been so crossed up in that car in the 20 years I've run it. I had to get out of it on at least 2 runs on Saturday. I know the wind was some of the issue but just would like to see what the heck happened. Appreciate any help or photo's.                                       JOHN
John- I have video of that run, looked rock solid and then just went away.  Great job on hanging on to the car.  I'm no techie but I'm sure I can email it to you.  Not set up to post anywhere- Len

Yep, I'll add my congratulations on the win Doug!  I had to leave around 4:00, missed the end.  Know I've got at least one of your passes on video.

It was great to meet and talk with Forum and reunion regulars and my impression is that the reunion grew again this time around.  Picked up a set of our administrator's clear valve covers, turned out I was the 10,000th customer of FE Power so they were gifted to me ;D (ok, the gifting part's a lie, good to meet you Jay).  Anyone who's never been, when you get to one of these reunions you will find yourself trying to figure out how to get your car there.

Glad to hear Randy is OK, a true shame about the '58.  Anyone who's been close enough to it or seen it run knows it was a work of art from bumper to bumper and wicked fast.  On a lighter note:  Hey Turbohunter, there was a tribute car there for you, a white '66 country squire, pretty quick too.  Or was that you?

I know the feeling Doug, I'm one of those guys who'd screw up names with a scorecard.  Looking forward to seeing some live passes from the Mustang and to seeing/meeting others from the forum.  A great afternoon at the strip complete with competition, car show, vendors and everywhere you look, FE everything!  Gonna be a great day!

Thx-  If I'd done the proper checks at assembly I wouldn't have to ask the question.  Hard shifting, pretty sure I have an alignment issue.  Not for now though, it's off to Beaver Springs.

Saw today was to be a washout, plan on getting there between 11 and noon tomorrow.  Looking forward to it, haven't been since 2015

I've been looking and am getting conflicting results.  It's a given that the '64 only narrow case HEH-D used a 4-11/16" front bearing retainer, '65 and newer went to 4-7/8".  What I am trying to determine is whether '63 and older T-10's used a 4-7/8" major diameter retainer as well as the '65 and ups, making the '64 bell the only year set up for the smaller diameter.  Looking to figure this out for trans and bell compatibility.  Input appreciated-  Len

I move we take this up at Beaver Springs.  Maybe a suggestion box, hmmm?

Well, it was the ignitor.  Since it started to hiccup last fall I'd say it only lasted about 7,000 miles >:(  I went through my "what the hell is all of this crap and why didn't dad throw it away while he was alive" box and retrieved the points and condenser that were in the  truck when I bought it.  They are now in the glove box.  If the new ignitor fails I'll throw in the points to keep me moving and go another route.

Thanks gents.  I'm going to do the running compression test to verify valve operation and get a backup ignitor.  Even if the current one isn't the problem I like the idea of carrying a spare for that eventuality.  It would be pointless ::) to wait for a fail anyway, I will admit to losing faith in the quality of electrical components currently available to the general public.

Anyone ever had one of these do a partial fail or is it usually a total fail?  The 300 in my F100 picked up a random misfire from idle up through cruise, most notably at slow speed.  Have 150 +/- 1 PSI on a dry compression test, but notice that #1 runs over 100F cooler at idle.  Intake/exhaust gasket replaced, vacuum is a little low but steady at 15.  Advancing timing improves vacuum but increases problem, set right now at 8 before.  Wires, cap and coil are all new points style parts as I believe they should be when running the Ignitor.   I have a 12 volt supply to the Ignitor and 10.5 resisted to the coil, again as I believe it should be.  Other than installing a proper FE, any thoughts ???
