I was never a big believer in WD40 beyond its obvious capabilities, but I use it casually and probably everyone who reads this forum has it on the shelf.  There must be a component in there that is not bothered by the heat, that is some interesting and good info.
Yes i never belived in those spraycan magic potions
before i saw that.
I read somwere that WD 40 is made from Fish oil :o....maby from some
heat resistant pikes :D

I worked att a boltmaking factory as a repairman.
And att the heat treat owens we had problem with
bolts and nuts seizing. We tried brass nuts, kopper
based anti seize and a lot of other things.
But finaly we tried WD 40 and it solved the problem
Just sprayed on the bolt and asembled and about
a year later when we changed heating elements
there was not a single  seized bolt
And Before about half the bolts snapped of

I remember there was some muflers you replaced the
collectors with in the early 90s
a friend had a couple home with him from USA
They were some prototypes but they where
sceduled for production  soon after
But i havent Heard of them after that

Ps Progress with the Galaxie is slow
Was forced to rewire the house started to blow
fuses on the main feed
i suspect it was old already by the start of WW1 :D :D
but expect to start making progress

Yes Dough  they was said to flow more than
a straight pice of tube. I almost had forgot about
them.
I used a lot of them back in the 90s

Any way i built a new chassie from the seats and
back and wheeltubs, a Cage ,fourlink,9in,clutchturbo
or clutchflite i dont remember,all fiberglass exept body
The owner partnered up with a friend that had
a tunelramed 355 Chevy.
Dont remember any E.T.s but high 10,s i think

60-70s sound??Then its the hush trush with the

On my Galaxie i run two  -70s Mercedes Diesel
end mufflers quiet inside the car and nice bark
when you step on the gas

interior (two bucket seats and doorpanels
Pity it was left outside to rot :'( :'(

Some friends on the convinient long straight road outside
our carclubs garage. The Pontiac was a real sleeper
dont looked much but fast with real well built 400
We Went to the next Town for a street race
with the slicks and a case of beer in the trunk
He beat one after another. I remember a 69 Chevelle
they had trailered there. Full tube chassie tunnelramed
bigblock. They was in semifinal against the Pontiac.
and real nervous. After five burnouts and tracbite
they lost to the Pontiac with 3 car lenhgts ;D ;D
The Pontiac was the Winner in the final against
another friends Camaro
And we instaled the street tires and went down to
the local bargain bin and picked up some girls

What hapened feels like 5 years ago

This skiboat was brutal 1060 hp and 1000 lbsft torque
on gasoline but he switched to metanol for more power :o
in a....canoe ;D ;D wheight about 1200 lb

This Chevelle had full lenght exhaust system
four 2 1/4 pipes four appleracing muflers
full tube chassie lowest part of the car was
rockerpanels
