Finaly i have a machined buildabel block. Painted and ready
to build. I have never had an engine fighting me like this.
cracked blocks,2 machine shop owners retiring, everything
around me falling apart so i had to repair it instead. My father
having a tripple bypass operation so i had to take care of
everything of his buissnes to
Final atack was the differential in my D.D.broke when i was
going to pick up the block att the machine shop ::)

But now i have 2 blocks so im building a 390 PI with speed pro
flat tops, a comp cams 294 S,ported C4 g heads streetmaster
intake.870 avenger shorty castiron headers for the Galaxie

And a 447 stroker with Mahle flat tops some new heads more cam and home
built IR EFI based on Jays adapter.....Need to find a lighter car
for that Engine. Something like a 64 fairlane or falcon or a 55-56 Ford

FE Technical Forum / Street Avenger

I heard some bad reputations about The Holley Street avenger carbs
Is it true or is it owner related?

The carb in question is a #80870. Holley call it a 870 but it have
the same primary venturis as a 750 and secondary venturis is
1/16"smaller than a 750 same throtlebores as a 750 so i dont know ???
used one summer so that make me suspect its not working as it should

Found a 63 Galaxie Convertible with what is said to be a 406
for the step son.Hes talking about buying a Impala :o cant let that happen
It have the headers, and 3 carb manifold, DP Dist, is there any
clue if the block is 406 exept casting dates. Between wich dates
was the 406 produced?Dont think the car is a original 406 v
car. 406 with 3 carb is a g code right?
