Non-FE Discussion Forum / Crazy Tommy
« on: December 19, 2021, 08:09:47 PM »
A story about when i met Crazy Tommy.  It was mid 80s i was reskining the doors
on a 59 Caddy for a guy 50 miles up the river. He said he was going to sandblast the inside
of those doors so if i needed some blasting he could do it for me. Fine i had some mustang doors
i was reskinning, so i took my doors and a friend and went up the river. He was borrowing the
blasting equipment of a guy known as Crazy Tommy. My friend knew where CT lived out in the

So there we arrived....CT had a verry big Garage, nice new tin roof with gutters and all, concrete floor
nice doors, and windows, but no and i mean NOOOOO panel inside or outside no insulation so you saw
through the garage that was full of stuff.
And there came CT greating us dressed in rubber boots, his once up on a time white undies, and a John Deere cap
The Caddy guy was behind the old barn blasting so we talked with Tommy for a while. When his wife called for him and he went inside
He came out 5 minutes later muttering damned wife ordered me to change clothes and changed he had clogs and a
Skoal cap ;D still only the undies. History reapeated it self a few times wife called Tommy went in came out with new shoes and new cap
same undies. Cowboy hat with white tennis shoes, Rebel cap barefoot , that white visor milfs playing golf use with cowboy boots.
The mustang doors was painted with several layers vinyl paint on the inside that was hard to sandblast. So i asked Tommy if he had some
paint thinner and a rag to try to clean it of.  He asked me to follow him to the old barn to find thinner and rags. He found a jug of thinner
but no rags. In the barn the wife had her clotheslines with clothes on ,,,,,,,,CT looked on the clotheline riped of a bra and said bras is out of fashion anyway ;D ;D
So there i was in CTs barn with his wife bra in my hands tommy in his undies and cowboy boots and a jug of thinner.......Sounds like the beginning of a pornhorror movie

wife called CT for dinner after dinner he came out in a skipper uniform with brass buttons and white shoes smoking a cigar and said. Now the weekend starts
guys, It was Tuesday ??? ???
Then he complained he was arrested for owning a washing machine. And we what??a washing machine why?? well it was altered in some ways so they
said it was a still but i say it is a washing machine

Me and the wife took a trip to Haparanda at the Finnish border today.
A few weeks ago a friend of the wife recomended, The River Restaurant
Never heard of it, not to brag but i suspected it was somewhere along the river.... ;)
I Found an 60s brick building with a sundeck that looked to be on its last leg
everything looked like it was decorated by a blind hippie and a sign painted with a spraycan
RIVER.... :o ;D ;D No way im eating here i told wife, lets get a burger.
Wife that always are positiv laughed and said...Maybe the chef is better than the decorator ;D

Anyway after trying to get a burger or chinesefood with no succes we decided to live a little on
the wild side and went in to the River :o. First room looked like a Bar at a Biker Club with the obligatory
mirror wall, Jack Daniel and Harley signs , but instead of someones left behind lace G-strings nailed to the wall
there was crocheted table clothes , Wife said i guess you get nostalgic now, grining. Behind the bar was a
good looking blond in leather in her early 20s. How may i help you? she asked the wife. Oh we like to eat
Eat?? okay......Is there a problem with that i asked? No No...not realy but...Folow me she said to the wife
she showed  us a table in the next room and said what do you like to drink? Can we get a menue? So we know what to order
Yes but....Beer, Wine,a drink or what you like to drink before the food? I ordered a Carlsberg hof, wife ordered Ice water to the
blondes pussled look. Okay i find you some menues and of she went. We looked around, the room had the same decorator as outside
furniture was of the sturdy type. Probably to withstand a better barfight. Down in the corner there was a man sitting and sleeping
with a half empty beer glas on the table.
And then i realiced It was not a restaurant! it is the place where Finnish ladies in there 70s go to get drunk.....Clock was 10 past 4 but they where already
happy, laughing and talking loud. Judging by the makeup on some of them they had already started drinking before they left home ;D
I told wife i bet its easy to get laid here in a few hours if you dont are picky ;D
Blonde show up with two wrinkled worn menues and our drinks. Asks wife, are you sure you dont want anything....stronger to drink?
Since the table not stuck to our hands and floor was clean, and the cutlery dont had greasy finger prints we decided to eat.
we ordered grilled chicken with grilled goatchese and french fries
Suprice suprice the food was realy good well made big portions nicely precented on the plate, best fries i have ever eaten
Wife and blond talked a lot  when we paid. seemed genuinly nice

Lets see if we have to bring the night puking :o :o :o :o

The tubes sticking up are the shock mount they will be shortened about 4-5 inches
The hoses are temporarely for the air bags. so we can roll it in and out and adjust the ride height
Today we are building new innerfenders and patching up some extra holes in the firewall
I think this engine bay would swallow all engines ford have to offer

I have learnt at lot of new truts the last days

For example. A man my father knew through the classic carhobby sleept at our place
for a few days in the 70s. He was looking at some car he was interested in
but no buy.  One night he raced with me on my märklin racetrac and one of
the controls was acting up so he tried to fix it. and a spring flew away.
A few weeks later he sent me a new controll with the mail  and some MAD books
With spie againt spy if you remember them? Any way i learnt a few day ago that
the man was a SÄPO agent, kind of our CIA everything was an undercover operations
To catch a spy and interogate him and that man was the interrogator........was it a hint
to send me those spy against spy boooks ??? :D
