Lot of great advice given and people on here willing to help you along.  Once you get over the intimidation factor you'll be fine.
Everyone on here started where you're at and learned from others and are still learning from others.
Get your parts list together to see what you have to work with.  If you're confident that the lower end is ok then you are well on your
way. Once you get the cam installed correctly the heads and the other stuff are pretty simple.
Get Barry's book and that will help a lot.  Don't be afraid to ask questions along the way.
Just take your time and double check everything and make sure you have a good torque wrench.
Lot of satisfaction in hearing something you build fire up for the first time.
Good luck

I put Wilwood disc brakes on the rear of my 66 Fairlane a few years back and I did put a proportioning valve in the system and
did have to adjust the rear pressure to keep them from locking up first.

I experience long delays for things to load up.  Honestly I'm not on here that much anymore so it's not an issue.

Couple years ago I had Brent do a 347 for my restored 76 Bronco.  He used a scat stroker kit and a hydraulic roller set up like
yours.  Heads were Dart Pro 1's that I had stashed away along with an air gap intake.  He had to finish the heads since they were bare and
had a custom cam made.  I wasn't looking for a lot of hp just something nice for my Bronco. Also I had a recently rebuilt holley 600 that was done by Scott Perkins. Distributor was a custom curved duraspark.
We went to the dyno and it made 395hp on the first pull at 5500rpm.  Adjusted a couple things and next pull was over 400hp at 6000rpms..  I didn't have a bigger carb since I was trying to keep this thing in a budget so just for fun we put on a 2 in super sucker and it hit 415hp. The dyno operator said with a bigger carb it would have easily hit 425hp. The last pull with everything back to how it was going in to be run in the bronco was 402hp/409 tq.
I was really surprised how well this performed.  Wasn't expecting this kind of power..
You can get ahold of Brent and talk to him about getting a stroker kit and other stuff you need and I'd definitely have him spec you a cam.
Good luck

I converted a fairlane toploader to a big in and out a few years back and got everything from David Kee.  I called him
and told him I needed the best stuff he had and it all arrived in a few days.  He was great to deal with and answered all the
questions I had.  All premium parts.

I am finally getting close to getting my TP engine and TKO 600 transmission installed in my 66 Fairlane.  I had really hoped to have this done before now but family and other issues had to come first.  I won't bore you with the details.
I know this has been covered but I tried searching and couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to install the engine and transmission together.
My plan is to leave the rear wheels on my lift and raise the rear end up high enough to shoehorn it all in. Was wondering how high it needs to be raised and what I need to watch out for.  Do the front wheels need to be on blocks to keep the bumper from preventing the lift from sliding under it?  I would appreciate any input and any pictures you may have of doing this..  I plan on taking pics during this to share in case someone needs help in the future.
Hopefully when I get everything together I can recruit enough help to get it done..  My wife helped me swap the motor in my 76 Bronco so
I can get her to run the hoist if need be  ;D.
Thanks

I have a new set of JE customs that were made for a MR head.  They are a for a 4.25 bore and have a 0.160 dome.
The build was never completed and they have been on the shelf..  They do need rings and pins. They do have the spirolox.
If you're interested send me a pm   $400 plus shipping.    These were $1000 new and still in the box.  they need a new home.

I've managed to clean out a lot of stuff over the last 2 years that I have no use for on Ebay but like everyone else the last thing I sold the
fees were way to high.   I have one item left and when it's gone I'm done.
I have been using Facebook marketplace with decent luck to sell stuff locally and no fees.

Let me tell you guys a good one.  About 3 or 4 years ago my wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I usually tell her
something I can use in the garage or on one of my vehicles..
I have a Quicktime bell I bought from Barry several years ago. It's one without the starter cover, so I told her I needed that cover and
Jegs had them for $39.  She ordered it for her parents to give me and had it delivered to their house so it would be there for Christmas day.
Christmas day at their home I had this big heavy box under the tree and when I opened it there was a complete Quicktime FE bellhousing.
My wife noticed the shocked look on my face and she said she ordered the starter cover and this is what they sent.
I called jegs and told them about the mistake and they arranged for FedEx to pick it up at my house and said they'd sent me the cover.  So about a week or so after they picked it up FedEx showed up with a big heavy box and it was the same bellhousing  ;D.
I called them back and tried to explain it to them to no avail.  So I have got a complete bellhousing for $39.  I think they are $800 plus
now.
Sometimes the mistakes end up in your favor sometime not.
