Way to go Jim! I know how hard you work to get there. Your car is such a good looking Fairlane!

Doug,
That’s the RM-6056 in your car? I know you had a Lakewood is the clutch fork the same position as the Lakewood?
Getting an education on QuickTime bells, there seems to be a variety of options to possibly make it work without mods for top loaders/ Jericho RM-6057-9  description is OEM replacement with 9 o clock arm placement.

Brent- thanks for the info on those choices!

Thanks for the info Jared! Going to try and find a Lakewood first and if I don’t I’ll have to deal with the quick time situation. I did speak to Russ McCombs today the originator of QuickTime and there is no mention of a design change.

FE Technical Forum / FE bellhousing needed - QuickTime info

Sent by FedEx my Lakewood bellhousing to fab shop to have window put in and after a week of no show at shop I got info from FedEx that trailer caught fire and all goods are lost. Needless to say not a good situation as the Lakewood bells are discontinued and rumor has it the quicktimes have fitment issues. Does anyone have any real world experience with the QuickTimes in a 1967 Fairlane with headers??
Anyone have a spare Lakewood bellhousing for an FE part # 15210 or if it works Quick Time RM 6057 SFI
Thanks in advance. - John

Update: spoke to QuickTime and they won’t work with normal clutch linkage at least on Fairlane.

[b[/b]I have a used set of rear shocks with 38 runs on the pair. I had switched to higher horsepower engine and found I needed double adjustable for my set up. These were purchased when Calvert still just sold the Rancho shocks without his name on them.
They will work for other Ford products. $130 plus shipping

You will be fine with the new perches. They are similar to the Calvert perches. I crushed the factory perches with a mild street 428 that I had in the car many years ago. Ruined a $400 Strange drive shaft. FE’s torture the drive line when added horsepower is applied. Just verify your pinion angle so they are welded on properly for your setup.

There are only a few items left that are any good on this one. Not repairable obviously. Not sure how someone came up with a value of $25K.

Your car is very, very nice! It is impressive for a nice street car. Glad to met you two and find another FE enthusiast so close to home.

Not that I can add any solution to what is happening and why, one thing I’ve learned over the years is when dealing with fluid or air you have no clue what’s going on unless you can physically see it and usually it’s a jaw dropping experience
