Yes the base is a hand hewn log house, but it is moved and rebuilt manytimes during the centurys
Here you can se the logs, painted with chaulk.

Im installing new windows and install better insulation and new outer panel
1x9 inch slowgrown pine from our own forrest. We are the only ones around here that have forrest left
to make such panel
Im going for new inner walls also in the living room

Here is two layers of old wallpaper from the 18 hundreds, my goal is to rebuild it to late 18 early 19 hundreds style

The northernlight pics can not capture the reality in brightnes and its constantly moving around. This year is said to be really good for
northern lights beacuse of unusualy powerfull solar storms

The building of stonehouses here was done with lime masonry before cement was used
The foundation to my hose is stones that are cut square about a feet X feet X 5feet
I think concrete slab was beginned to used 20-30s but got comon after ww2 around here

Hard to get some pics of my log house but  here is one of my dads garage/baking house
built in the traditional way out of hand hewed logs hand forged hinges and lock on the door
that have hand splited and planed boards. Everything made by him by hand in the 70,s
I can get more pics of that if someone is interested

My house is probably 300 plus years old. Fasinating to se and think those axe marks have
some of my ansestors made  a looooong time ago. The trees its made out of started to grow
around when Columbus thoght a boat trip to the west was a good idea

I had him as a dad for57+years, you see people saying ohh i would like
to do this or that like a father and son project. Most of my life was a father
and son project. One of my earliest memmorys is when i "Helped" my dad
to dissasembel a Model-T engine he found in an anthill. I never forget that
smell of antpiss mixed with old motoroil ;D ;D
Yes you have to focus on the possitiv and he had a full life. Or as my son said
after walking through the village past my dads place. Grandpa built and acompliced
more in his 81 years than anyone have managed in 162 years in this village

What!? You think they're crazy???

No...no....Just  dont care much for dancing ;D ;D

Crazy is much a defenition, i have met a lot of.....lets say
exentric people on me and my dads journeys around Scandinavias
"outback", on the hunt for classic cars.( Like thats a normal behavior
considering.... ::))

And often the ones considered crazy by others was the ones that
had kept old cars. Often with limited resourses managed to build
a milking machine or a bandsaw or whatever out of an Model-T
while the ones calling them crazy had problem to build a sandwich

Or like Hullu Bertili (Finnish for Crazy Bertil) that thaught my dad
to make his own boots by hand said about them. He was that kind of man that could use
no tools but a spoon

So, are the moon and the sun up at the same time just opposite from each other? Awesome pic.

No its just the moon but with the snow reflecting it gets not like day light but quite light
Nights like that it is fun driving small country roads and turn of the headlights.
In a way you see better with the lights of

Sorry for your loss Heo. It just sux. While in hospice, I was able to tell my dad that my wife was pregnant with our first child. You do what you can in those moments. Nothing more, nothing less.... That boy is a teenager now.
On Fathers day he was told his first great grandchildren was on the way.
Thats the way of life one comming one leaving
Im glad he died at home with us the family around him with familiar
smells and sounds.
