I wish i would have gone hyd roller from the start. Ive heard some say you can run hyd roller lifters on some solid roller cams. Is this possible? Thanks for any responses!!

FE Technical Forum / MSD pickup coil Bad?
« on: June 10, 2012, 10:03:06 AM »
Well i got my fuel problems fixed and went out to start the truck sat morn and no spark. I had trouble last weekend too. I thought it was the 2pin connectors on the pick up. I cut them and used some crimp on connectors to replace them. This is a new pro billet 8594. Any way i pull the coil wire and ground it and crank the motor and no spark. I then jump the 2 wires going out to the box and it sparks fine. Got to be the pickup? Right? I also ohmed it with my fluke and im getting 250ohms. Im pretty sure its the pickup do yall have any suggestions. Im gonna call msd tommorrow. Thanks!

FE Technical Forum / fuel vapor in fuel line?

Hey guys can you tell me at what temperature gas boils at? I have a 76f100 with the original fuel line coming from the tank. It runs along the frame rail pretty close to my headers, to the pump and up to the carb in front of the motor. The line gets HOT i think fuel has to be changing state on me. I just splashes a little in the filter. I checked the line its not stopped up and the vent is open. Im thinking about insulating it. What do yall think?

Thanks Mr. Barry. I don't think my dowel goes thru to catch the eccentric. I think it is too short. I just have a hole in the sprocket. Can i get a longer dowel to tap in the hole and loctite?

I think my one piece eccentric came loose, i don't remember the longer dowel going into the oblong hole. I have a 2piece eccentric and i heard you can put a washer behing it to get the outer ring some clearance. I have a comp chain set.  Im gonna pull the cover off this week and check it out. Do you think the 2piece will work with the washer behind it? Thanks
