Agreed! I bought a set of his adjustable rocker arms about 11 years ago, had some problems with the adjusting screws a couple months ago, he sent me free replacements and even paid the postage, no question or grief, just help.

McMaster has the USA made Associated battery charger, a little expensive but worth it in the long run. That’s what we use in our heavy equipment shop. We buy a battery charger, cheap hand truck and a 50’ extension cord, put them all together and have a really handy tool until one of the guys run it over with a tractor....

I have done a lot worse! From the pictures you have a lot to work with, now you just need to find someone with a cool FE to drop in it  8)

I bought a AOD with the FE bell housing modification from Jay at Broader. Great guy to deal with but he is a small shop so like others in the FE world he is stretched thin. He will be upfront with a delivery date but it may not be a two day turn around....

Jay I really admire the time and resources you give to Drag Week and to the FE community. For you to be dealt a blow like this is just horrible....hang in there man!

Another idiot checking in….there is something in every post of this thread that I agree with, but I am addicted to the sound! No other engine has it. Just hope I can go the rest of my life being an idiot spending his extra money on FE powered Fords, tools and shop equipment.

Member Projects / 1972 F250 Camper Special
« on: September 22, 2013, 03:36:49 PM »
Greetings everybody; another longtime lurker coming out to join the fun, we have just bought a three generation FE based project for my Dad, my son and myself. It is a 1972 F250 Camper Special; it is a one owner truck that we bought from a friend of mine. The truck only has 72,000 miles on it and is in amazing condition, the original owner kept it covered whenever it was not in use. The truck will be a daily driver with some towing of a 20’ fishing boat and a camper, looking for 350 to 400 horsepower and lots of torque.
The original 360 is worn out and leaks badly as does the C6 transmission. We have the engine and transmission out and the engine is torn down to the short block now with no ugly heads showing up just lots of burnt goo and worn parts. Our plan as of now is to go with a 4.250” stroker kit, 4 barrel carb, FPA headers and a Gear-Vendors over drive on the transmission after it is freshened up. This will be a somewhat limited budget but not looking to be cheap….we would really like some input on cam choices, intake manifold and possibly heads. Right now we have 2 sets of C8AE-H heads…thinking the aluminum Edelbrocks may help with detonation while towing.
Here are a couple You Tube videos of it

Thanks in advance
