FE Technical Forum / Engine & transmission installation

I am finally getting close to getting my TP engine and TKO 600 transmission installed in my 66 Fairlane.  I had really hoped to have this done before now but family and other issues had to come first.  I won't bore you with the details.
I know this has been covered but I tried searching and couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to install the engine and transmission together. 
My plan is to leave the rear wheels on my lift and raise the rear end up high enough to shoehorn it all in. Was wondering how high it needs to be raised and what I need to watch out for.  Do the front wheels need to be on blocks to keep the bumper from preventing the lift from sliding under it?  I would appreciate any input and any pictures you may have of doing this..  I plan on taking pics during this to share in case someone needs help in the future.
Hopefully when I get everything together I can recruit enough help to get it done..  My wife helped me swap the motor in my 76 Bronco so
I can get her to run the hoist if need be  ;D.

Non-FE Discussion Forum / C4 Overhaul

Have a C4 that I'd like to overhaul to use maybe behind a 351 C or 302.  Not going to be a race application just something stout
that will hold up to 400 plus hp/tq that I can hammer on if I want.  From what I can determine this one looks like it was made in 1978. Has the 26/24 spline shaft and push in modulator valve. Band adjustment bolt is coarse thread so I'm sure it's not a C5 and it's a case fill.  Has a bell that doesn't match up to anything in my garage such as 302, Cleveland, 351M. Looks like it was made for a lock up torque converter because its pretty big. I can get a different bell so that's not an issue
 
There are a lot of kits out there and I see some for around $200 with all the Alto red plates and Kolene coated steels etc.  Is this the type
of kit I need?  Transparts warehouse has a kit which is similar to the global trans kit and cheaper.
I have never rebuilt an automatic so this will be a first.  Done plenty of standards without any issues.
Haven't torn it down yet just trying to get an ideal of what you guys use when you build these.

Appreciate some input.

NOS Fairlane speedometer Part # C6OF-17265.  Has 0.7 miles showing on it. The only issue with it is the pointer is bent but it lines up like its supposed to.  Other than that it is in excellent condition.

 I have for sale a bullet solid roller cam that has one dyno session of time on it only.
 Was replaced with a larger cam.
 Specs: Duration @20 295/306, Duration @50 260/270, Gross lift 616/660 ICL 104.5/ECL 107.5
 Asking $250 + shipping

 I also have the matching springs for it for $150 + shipping and the Bullet branded Morel SR lifters for $500 +shipping. The lifters alone sell   for around $725-750 a set. All of this has dyno time only on it.  Everything was spec'd out by Brent Lykins.

 This set up made 600hp in a 465 cube tunnel port.

I have for sale a set of Racetec custom pistons that we used in a 465 cube tunnel port build. These gave us a little over 12:1 compression and made 700HP. New these are in the $900.00 range.
 They have one dyno session on them and were pulled, cleaned and boxed up. Still have the rings on them. They come with pins and will need new spirolox and I would replace the rings also.
 These would have to be used in an aftermarket block like a Pond, BBM, Shelby etc. Would work great with a set of Tunnel Port or HR heads unless you want something really high compression.
 I also have the solid roller cam and springs we used in this build for sale if someone is interest. Much cheaper than buying everything new and with proven results.
These are listed on the Facebook Ford FE Big Block Group with pictures and spec sheet. I'm not sure how to post pic's here.

FE Technical Forum / Powermaster Starter and Flywheel Engagement

Doing some final inspection on my TP engine and checked the engagement of the starter gear with my flywheel and the starter gear
does not engage the full width of the ring gear.  I took it apart and made sure there wasn't a shim behind the starter mounting plate.
I have a Quick Time bell and block plate.  I don't see anything I can change to make it fully engage.
Is this acceptable?

Looking for a yoke for a TKO 600. Would like to be able to use a 1350 U joint.
Tremec makes one but for a 1330 U joint.
What is everyone using in your TKO 500/600?
Strange says they do not make one for a TKO 600.

I have 2 sets of Diamond Custom Pistons with pins, will need spirolox.   Both are for 3.98 stroke.
1.   Bore 4.310, Compression Ht. 1.360, Ring pack .043, .043, 3.0 – these were for a pump gas build that made 605 HP.  $500.00  The first cam and springs listed below were used in this build.

2.   Bore 4.310, ring pack same, I don’t have sheet on them but they were for 12:1 compression and were just switched out for the ones above. Pins included and still have the rings on them.  Cam was changed and we made 700hp with them.  $500.00

3.   Bullet branded Morel  Solid Roller Lifters. Needle Bearing/Pressure Fed $ 495.00

4.   Set of 3/8 stem Jet Flow valves, 2.25 intake/1.75 exhaust .  Originally purchased from DSC.  $200.00

5.   Bullet Solid Roller Cam,  Duration @ .050 260 int./270 exh.   ICL 104 and LSA 106, 625/650 lift  $275.00

6.   Valve springs for the Bullet Solid Roller are PAC. 280 seat/ 630 open.  $225.00

7.   Comp Cams Solid Roller Cam, 260/270@.050, 108 LSA,  Lift 742/750, LSA 104.  $275.00

8.   Valve springs for the Comp Solid Roller.  PAC 1300 series endurance springs, 265 seat, 636 open,  I think these were more like 660 open but can’t find the card but they worked great  with this cam.     $ 275.00

9.   Trend push rods 9.00 length  ball/cup, wall  0.135   $215.00

FE Technical Forum / Dominator on a 4V High Riser Intake

I have tried to search this on the other forum but didn't see much. I know Dove makes a 4V dominator HR single plane intake
but has anyone tried using an adaptor and running a Dominator on a Ford factory 4V HR dual plane intake?
I would think maybe JayB or Blair has done this and just wonder what the results were. Good, bad, didn't make
any difference?
I have a bunch of parts lying around and contemplating a HR project and I have a 4V intake and Davinci Sportsman Dominator so
I'm thinking why not.
Interested in hearing anyone's experiences or thoughts.
