FE Technical Forum / FE bellhousing needed - QuickTime info
« on: July 18, 2022, 12:01:43 PM »
Sent by FedEx my Lakewood bellhousing to fab shop to have window put in and after a week of no show at shop I got info from FedEx that trailer caught fire and all goods are lost. Needless to say not a good situation as the Lakewood bells are discontinued and rumor has it the quicktimes have fitment issues. Does anyone have any real world experience with the QuickTimes in a 1967 Fairlane with headers??
Anyone have a spare Lakewood bellhousing for an FE part # 15210 or if it works Quick Time RM 6057 SFI
Thanks in advance. - John

Update: spoke to QuickTime and they won’t work with normal clutch linkage at least on Fairlane.

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Quality fuel pressure gauge
« on: May 03, 2019, 01:41:11 PM »
Has  anyone found a decent fuel pressure gauge? I’ve had a Moroso then a Holley now a liquid filled Aeromotive. Looked at the Aeromotive today and the needle is at 4 lbs and will not go lower. Used the pressure relief valve since it is liquid filled and did not change I’m not a fan of liquid filled gauges but thought it may be a better quality and can relieve the pressure for accuracy. Aeromotive said they would replace it but looking for options as I have not had good luck so far.

Private Classifieds / MSD 7 AL3 #7330 Black Box
« on: October 29, 2018, 12:58:30 PM »
I have a Factory Reconditioned MSD 7 AL 3 for sale. It is new from MSD Factory recon. I purchased this as a spare for my car. It was tested by me in my car to be sure it worked and it  works as it should. I am selling it because my car has a Holley Annihilator ignition set up and Holley quit making them many years ago. I did have a spare Annihilator box which I had to use last year as the original box went south. That left me without a spare ignition box and I try to have two of everything with me when I race. Could not find any Holley boxes so I purchased this as my back up. Found a Holley box so I don't need this one. Includes all the chips for rpm and retard/ advance chips plus I purchased an adjustable shiftnoid chip so I could set my own specific launch rpm.
I paid $599.99 and will sell it for $499.00 plus  $ 14.95 shipping.  A new box retails for $729.00
 Any questions, let me know.

MY first time doing my own valve springs. Chamfer and remove all sharp edges for retainers and seats. Articles I've read say not to clean with solvent. What do you use to clean the grit off? I understand if you don't oil the springs right after cleaning as rust could start. What is the proper procedure???

Has anyone had the ability to have an adjustment door put on from Lakewood or someone else?
I’m to the point that I will need to check air gap and will need to have access at the 6 o’clock position
