Went to a Southeast Gassers race/show today at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds Ga. with my brother, my nephew and a cousin. Lots of fun, good old school racing and a very nice Platt Georgia Shaker 111 tribute car with Blair's power.

As I sit here bored and watching Roadkill Garage do stupid things I had a couple of stupid thoughts.
Engine gurus talk about performance builds having vacumn at WOT means the carburetor is too small. Does that mean at WOT you can never achieve full HP potential with vacumn secondary carbs ?
Modern supercharged engines with intercoolers. If you put a A/C evaporator coil under the supercharger and a running compressor. Will the cooling effect on the intake charge make enough extra HP to overcome compressor loss and more HP over the normal intercooler ?
I'm taking a nap now !

Calm down, parts car only.
Body is toast, fenders & doors probably useable, but, original 59k mile car with 1971 tag on it. Carb & air cleaner stolen, left door glass broken. Has sat outside since 1971. All interior there, rest of glass good, all stainless good, wheels not useable, engine will move about 75 degrees back and forth, intake shows signs on water, pulled valve covers & valves are free, water pump froze up, fan clutch feels good, manifolds good, washer bag & pump still there, original jack, original top loader& bell housing& clutch & all linkage there, console there. This was driven one day, parked, then Sat since 1971. Nasty divorce. Pick up only with rollback in Central Ga. Bill of sale only. Orig (80 ish) owner can not find title.

Intake is at least 2 months out, appx $900 to $950.00.
I also asked about flow data, this is the best part.

Needed to look at cylinders on long stored 428. Bought a Depstech Endoscope camera for Android phones, $18.00, 15 ' lead. Best thing since grits became groceries. Camera diameter just over a 1/4", adjustable led brightness, great pictures. Not a ad, no interest in company BUT I highly recommend everyone get one from somebody.
Engine is good, bought it.
