FE Technical Forum / 427 fe side oiler. What's it worth
« on: January 13, 2017, 11:59:56 PM »
I met a guy yesterday who has an original 427 side oiler. The engine is complete and in very good confition. He said he has had it for a while and pulled it from the car 2 years ago. Has 20,000 miles he believes. What is something like this worth. This is all the information I have so far but will be seeing the engine in person myself next week and I will get pictures and all additional information needed. He is selling the engine to me if I want. Any ballpark ideas what its value is before I go check it out. Thanks.

FE Technical Forum / Need help with cam shaft swap??
« on: January 13, 2017, 12:36:36 AM »
I have a 427 fe side oiler. Engine has 3000 miles on it and is out of the car now. It has a hydraulic roller cam now and I will be replacing it with a slightly more agressive hydraulic roller cam. What steps do I need to follow to make this happen. I have a mechanic friend with all the tools that will be helping me. I just want to make sure we do it correctly and I know this is the place for all FE. Thanks for any help.
It's a complete motor from carb to oil pan.
A step by step explanation would be best.

« on: June 09, 2015, 04:39:37 PM »
I have been reading about the new felony head by Survival, is this the way to go for a 482 street build or are the edelbrocks cheaper and just as effective.
