Private Classifieds / SCJ PARTS VALUE
« on: September 18, 2018, 09:48:49 AM »
Bought a 1972 standard bore cx scratch block with ribbed sides.  I know the block is not worth a lot.  Still had a c6 attached to it. Owner said came out of 67 f100 12 or 15 years ago.  It has c6-R heads. 1964 c5ae9425c intake, truck oil adapter. As I was tearing it down I notice it having a hatchet spacer on front. After taking oil pan off verified Lemans crank and rods.  Wondering if any value to anyone.  If so,  thinking of keeping bock and building 406.  Just going in my 66 truck.  Or these so old not in demand, also has scj balancer ?   THANKS

Photos of my new 2inch lift above stock purchased from spring company, did not take photo of original, but fender came to top of wheel.  Looks like about a 4inch lift from original springs.

Non-FE Discussion Forum / 67 FAIRLANE HELP Long

Been lurking for a while, first time to post. Just wondering where the bottle neck is on my engine, and what would make the most improvement. engine info:  428 +.030, 268 comp cam, edelbrock heads, flat top speed-pro pistons, .008 in hole, edelbrock intake, Quick fuel 780 vs, CJ exhaust manifolds with 2.5 inch exhaust. Vacuum runs 13 in at idle, which seems low for power brakes, never have been able to raise it , changed intake from PI to edelbrock no change in vacuum. Didn't degree cam.  Street car only no stats other than seat of pants.  Was a GTA, installed a sb toploader with truck bell last year.
