On a stock replacement 5qt pan would you run 5qts or 6qts? I've heard both ways.

What are you guys doing for new engine oil dipstick and tube? I have a 67 390 going in a 55 Ford f100 and the original dipstick tube is garbage.

I just remembered he has a 66 Impala SS that has a ZZ427 crate motor which runs about 480hp/490ftlbs so he knows what to expect. I will talk to him soon on budget and expectations.

I'm working on a guys 54 f100 that someone swapped in a 390. I got a 67 390 out of a car that he wants me to get rebuilt and wants to have a "strong 400hp" out of it. What would you guys suggest for parts to get me to that point? Please no negative comments I've tried asking on facebook and they just suggested going to a windsor but obviously I'm not doing that.
Thanks for the help!

It does have block hugger headers on it already. I do know he wants it to sound healthy but I know that doesn't mean a whole lot. It will be more of a toy than a daily driver.
With out porting what can 67 heads handle?

I was using about a 125hp shot of nitrous when I ran that 11.96. My truck weights about 3450lbs. I would like to run in the upper 11s.
A buddy of mine run a 600hp 460 in a 66 f-100 lwb that weighs 4300lbs and he runs a 12.07. So I figure if I can get around 500hp I should run upper 11s.

I would like to be around the 500hp mark if possible. I believe with my heads I will be around 11:1 for compression. I should be able to run premium fuel yet I hope.
