Good for Summit.
I buy a lot from them and was getting ready to quit them like I have jeg's.
When they put all the innovative manufacture's out of business we will only have crap available to buy.

i try not to buy anything from china if I can.
After thinking about it for a while I have decided not to buy from company's who sell counterfeit parts- Jegs,Summit, Amazon etc.
There are a lot of company's in America who have ethics and are honest.
I know I don't spend enough  to make a difference but I will feel better if I support American company's because these slimy lowlifes will drive the good ones out of business and we will just have junk available to us in the future.

Don't forget Jegs who is a big seller and pusher of speedmaster part's.
I have mostly stopped buying from them for this reason.

Mine was $200 a month for years with Liberty Mutual and went up to $400 a month last year and received notice it will increase again.
I can't afford it so have canceled. Never filed a claim so guess I will self insure.

Brent
I never thought of priming with the intake off. I was taught the other way but will try it on my new build in a couple of months.

i didn't care for the paint job but some of the innovations he did with the build are really good idea's.
His build is kind of what I am aiming for with my 63 but nowhere as radical as his.

Just watched a video on the Street Muscle website on the Ruffian Garage 526ci FE powered 64Galaxie.
This car is a very complicated build and took 7000 hr's of labor to build.
A entertaining video a bit long but the driving parts start's at 37 minutes.
You might want to check it out, not a lot of FE videos out there from the main stream media.

Its a flat top, no dome.
11.85 I can live with, I was afraid it would be a little higher but the amount of driving time on the car will not be much.
13.36 would worry me a little but is doable with the CNG for fuel with an octane of 140.
It will just be a fun car and not a everyday driver.
I  just don't want to be disappointed when I get on it.
Thanks for taking the time to figure this out for me.

Sorry for not including all info.
The pistons are Auto Tec part number 1021059 custom ordered from Brent.
They have a 5 cc dome volume.
Gaskets are Cometic 0.40 thick.
As of now I will be running compressed natural gas for fuel.
Cam will be the Ford D cam for a while and then a custom solid roller that I will let Brent decide what I need.

I need someone smarter then me to figure my CR.
I just spent all morning ccing my heads and was a little surprised at the results.
The heads cced out at 68-69 cc across both of them.
Edelbrock 427 Aluminum heads with 220-173 valves.Heads have been worked but not milled.
Here is what I have 428- Bore is 4.164.
Pistons are flat top race tech sticking out of the block 0.005.
Stock stroke.
Block was square decked and blueprinted.
Crank assemble balanced to 1 gram.
I have forgotten how much of a pain it is to cc heads and it took me a lot longer then I remember having to do in the past.
Thanks

That is real good news. I had all ready completed my short block and didn't want to have to tear it down and redo it.
I will still check but I think I can rest easy now.

i bought these used and when I first tore them down I dropped a valve on the floor.
The head broke off and I had a mini fireworks display.
I have to assume the previous had installed them.

I had my exhaust valves in my heads replaced to get rid of the sodium filled ones.
Edelbrock 427 heads with 2.20-1.73 sizes.
I ordered a new Comp Cams burret kit to cc my heads because the cheap plastic one I had I didn't trust. The new one came in yesterday.
While looking at the heads I started to wonder if I was going to have to notch my cly. walls for the 2.20 intakes to clear.
I have a 428-0.30 over and really hope I don't have to clearance the valve's as I have the short block buttoned up.
I know I will find out when I get the heads on but was wondering if anyone has this combo and if you had to notch the cly. for clearance.

I will have to check the level when I start on it. I had it installed so don't know if shims were used or not. I all so have a sloped floor for drainage.
I have used pole stands for years even when I worked in dealerships and for independent shops. Everyone used to make fun of me for using them but when you get 4000 pounds bouncing on the lift then it makes you think.
If I add an upper bar i will loose about a foot of height I can lift my vehicles so I really don't want to do that but I might have to.

Looked at several utube videos on the cure and think I will switch out the loose ones for the epoxy fix.
I don't have the top bar as at the time I bought the lift I though it would interfere with how high the car would be able to rise. The roof is 13 foot high.
Funny thing is my post is leaning to the outside and not to the inside.
I bought the bottom bar and am considering adding a top bar after I get the anchors fixed.
It should be simple to do, I will just need to get a little help to hold up one end while i tighten the other side.
