Looking for actual numbers from running engines.  Surely someone has hooked up a vacuum gauge to a Cammer.

FE Technical Forum / Cammer Vacuum Question
« on: November 09, 2019, 09:26:28 AM »
I am building a Cammer and plan to use an early Ford C6 transmission but have no idea how much manifold vacuum to expect for the shift modulator.  I want to avoid a manual shift valve body.  Using Pond block and heads, 11:1 compression, Comp street lift cams, original single carb intake with Holley HP.  What kind of vacuum numbers are you Cammer folks seeing out of similar builds?  Phil

Would like to buy a 427 sohc single 4 barrel intake for my current street build.  Surely there is at least one out there just collecting dust.  Could go with an aftermarket 2 x 4 setup, and they perform and look great, but prefer a single.   Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

FE Technical Forum / 460 vs 427 motor mount location
« on: January 28, 2019, 08:37:19 AM »
Are the ford 460 and 427 motor mount locations the same?  The length x width x height motor dimensions I have found online are very close.  I have an aftermarket set up with shock tower delete for a 427 in a 67 Cougar but now considering switching to a 460 build instead.

Bill Coon Steals Deposit

Bill Coon stole my $3000.00 deposit for a set of 427 SOHC (Cammer) heads.  After months of excuses I had to cancel the order but he won't return the deposit even though I have an invoice and cancelled check.  I have since learned this is a common business by Coon especially if you are located long distances from his shop in Romulus Michigan and the interstate costs to sue him.  As a small builder in the Phoenix area I have many many contacts and will be notifying every Cammer vendor, engine builder, magazine editor, major car auction and show promoter I can find.  All should be concerned this guy is killing interest in the Cammer.
