I was cruising the internet and frequently watch Thunderhead289 on youtube. He has patented a pretty cool product. It's called the Carb Cheater, It's a very interesting video of this product and installation. Take a look

Bliss Motorsports , I'm not sure of their location. However I bought  67 Fairlane about 15 years ago and the motor had been built by them. It was top notch work and parts. Rousch Nascar Manifold matched to Yates Nascar heads etc. Ran great and never had an issue. high 10 sec car on street tires

Thank You for this information. This is exactly why the amateur builder / weekend garage warrior like myself reads every post  and tries to soak up the vast amount of knowledge here. That's the fine detail that would be easily overlooked by most.
Thanks again to all of you who post here. I have used the advice here more times than I can count.

What type of distributor ? Is it points or Msd...  I had the same problem once and turned out the magnetic pick up on the MSD dizzy was bad so I replaced the magnetic pick up. And I  installed it incorrectly, I had it in upside down, the car had the exact symptoms you described, Pulled it and installed it correctly and ran good then.

I would definitely recommend the Loctite 660 (green) as we called it. When I would put die sets together for hydraulic stamping presses , we would use the 660 on the guide pins to hold them in the die set. Keep in mind these presses ran at 750 rpm and hit at 125 tons with each stroke. We never had one come loose !  So next time you open a wide mouth beer/soda can or pull the top off a soup can you'll know who made the die sets and machine and why they stayed together.

FE Technical Forum / Le Mans headers
« on: July 29, 2021, 10:32:45 AM »
I recently read an article about a guy who purchased a 70 mustang that had an original 67 427 Lemans motor in it. In the article it talked about the #3 and #7 header tube crossing over to opposite collectors. So cylinder 1,2,7,4 on one side and 5,6,3,8 on the other . Anyone ever heard of doing that ? What would be the purpose?

Just curious ...what kind of HP/TQ numbers are you seeing with those heads and intake

Does it vibrate while parked , driving , or both ? While it's driving ONLY would be a whole separate issue than if it did while idling also.

I can't speak to all of it,but about 10 years ago I was at the Comp Cams plant in TN. They have "blanks" for cams that they grind to spec on the spot.

Brent fixed it on his own dime. That says it all for me. Not that it really matters what I think. Always entertaining here
