Vendor Classifieds / Re: 427 SK Heads
« on: March 30, 2022, 03:53:26 PM »
Hey Randy, hope you are doing well! While I am not familiar with this particular set of heads and haven't looked any further than this ad today, my previous experience in dealing with Randy has been exemplary. Parts were always as advertised, priced fairly and our dealings were very enjoyable. Cheap shot about his user name as that is the same user name he has used for years and sold a multitude of parts under. He is close enough to us, that Lance and I as well as other local individuals have dealt with him considerably. I am currently sitting on 3 or 4 sets of heads and at least 2 intakes that were from Randy. Some are NOS and perfect. Dove's heads are very well known and documented for these problems.

Barry, isn't this the exact same problem we ran into with that 850 DP on the Tunnel Port motor? Same fluctuations until we swapped the carb for yours?

As Summit owns TFS, wouldn't we expect the price point to be lower on their website than the Edelbrock's?

We stripped my son's '69 with a tip bought at Northern Industrial that attached to the end of the pressure washer for less than 25 dollars. Worried about the heat build up. Play sand from Home Depot had to be screened so actually found sand through a place that did headstones. Took us 2 days, but minimal cost. Took another week of washing, flipping in the rotisserie, and more washing/blowing out to get all the sand. We wound up using this tip for 2 dump trucks, a Freightliner cab, and 3 old pickups with no problems. Yep, we are stubborn....

Looks absolutely fantastic, Jay!  I really needed (wanted) a fuel injection intake that could be utilized with a belt driven supercharger (have a Vortech V4 on hand) or a pair of turbos. Yet no one makes an adapter plate for the FE. Aesthetics, flexibility, functionality, and possible expansion capability on the initial concept is what got me interested in this project. Been admiring Jay's work for a while and with so few TP options available, Jay was headed in the right direction with this market endeavor. Looking forward to the end result.
