Alan, I go every Spring and Fall, but I am only 3.5 hours away. Show is nowhere near as good as it used to be. No way would I go if I was beyond 5-6 hours away, much less 13 hours.

Matt it sounds like you did all your homework.

Question 1: Yes (AFAIK) just measured the outside dimensions of a 68 R scoop and a 69 Q scoop.

Question 2: Can't help with that because your (almost) statement is accurate. My original paint (black) car doesn't have the stripe. There are a couple other known black cars without it.

Question 3: He is the only source that I have heard for good repop scoops. I would join and post on the 428 CJ site and you will probably find him.

I wish they would have put a higher first gear in that wide ratio. By the time you go low enough rear gear for the overdrive, that 3.27 first gear is useless. Based on my calculations, the close ratio would be easier to gear for, in a street car anyway.

Yes ^^ have someone that knows, calculate your DCR. I wasted a long time on a similar combination only to have Brent line me out in no time by calculating my DCR. In Brent's words it was a "no go" and I have moved on to changing the pistons.
