If headers and sparkplugs are the only concerns, wouldn't welding in a flat plate on the inner side of the towers give sufficient clearance?

Apparently the lien is more than $53K.
Bodyshop/restoration costs?

Ad states there is a lien on the car that would need to be paid off before title can be transferred. Doesn't say how much the lien is.....

Someone needs to build a 3 or 4 valve head for the FE. Problem solved.
Or, is there a multivalve head from another engine with a similar bore spacing that could be cut and welded....

How in heck do you work on that or get the engine in or out of there? Has it been moved a foot rearward or is that actually where the Olds engine sat?

Why would you need to work on an FE?

I bought a timing cover off ebay. ad did not name manufacturer or point of origin.  looks pretty good.  have not tried to bolt up yet. packaging was plain jane, did have a "S" cast inside so I figured Speedway

This may be the root source for the timing covers (and other parts)...

Would like to hear more about your experience with a flat plane crank.
Source, price, real-life experience.
Vibration issues? Performance effects?
