Fuel pressure is absolutely the most important thing. If you want to just t off of the mechanical pump don't plan on spraying for long. I use an extra electric pump that turns on when the system is armed. I have had good luck 200+ 1/8th mile passes spraying 150 445FE.

Front sump pan with rear tie rods on a straight axle. its the motor i will be running this year. E400 edsel. i am putting the E in FE!

Jay Brown there seems to be major clearance issues with the oil pump/ pan even with the rear sump. Steering clearance issues as well. I didn't put the mustang 2 front end in and if I move it down I see more issues with steering. The other alternative is a Chevy engine ...NOT!

Lutz is my Family name. building this Fairlane for 1/8th mile racing one day. hope to stroke  it to 445 cid one day (like my 66) but the goal right now is to get her running. racing season is coming quick and so many things to do.

Working on my other car as time and money permits. plans are a for a straight axle to accommodate my 66 390 gt s-code backed by a c6 and ford 9". Chrome for the sides is going on tomorrow, yay! Straight axle will be going in and mustang 2 front end coming out when the 3 feet of snow leaves my yard so i can get  to the big shop. one current picture and one the day i bought it in April.

wondering if i can put an FE in my 65 Fairlane with a mustang 2 front end. should i just scrap the front end and get a strait axel?
a friend says he has a 4x4 oil pan, will this help? has anyone got any tips? link to album of the car, got a 428 on bank ready to go. thanks in advance!
