Neat old wagons. My dad was a teen when he helped grandpa mine uranium in the late '50s early '60s. Grandpa had several uranium claims in western CO. Dad said he could fit 55 cases of dynamite in their '58 Ranch Wagon.

I'm in the middle of freshening my 504 and got to wondering about the Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters. They have approx 600 1/4 mi passes and about 500 street miles on them. The rollers look great. The cam lobes show just a bit of color change over the peak. My valve lash was the same as 40 passes ago. So, no obvious wear anyplace. Does anybody have any longevity data to contribute on these solid roller lifters?

I would double check that shifter. Disconnect the cable from the arm on the C6. Make sure one click on the shifter equals one click on the arm. A rooster comb C6 VS the earlier C6 with valve body detents. They use different shifters. The later rooster comb C6 has a clamped in modulator instead of a threaded in one.
