FE Technical Forum / Timing chain set
« on: June 09, 2024, 07:42:38 AM »
I have my motor out, bad timing right in the racing season. Have  nice solid lifter motor. 428. Lift in the upper .600s. Might be changing that. But the chain is 8 years old and getting too much play for my comfort. Who makes the good set up these days. A belt system is a bit too much $ for me. Street/ strip. Mostly strip application.

MrT427. I`ll definitely  be back. Had a blast. I run the CJ fastback Cobra. Was a ton of fun. Looks like it will be bigger this year. Loved the track. Car hooked good and was very consistent there.  Looking forward to it. Paul- The Rev

Yes Ray has now 30 Class wins at the US Nationals. He has many other class wins other places. There is some speculation that he has more wins in the other car and some say that's the 2 cars combined. Honestly not positive myself. Fastest run was 8.42@159. IDK if the Hemi`s ran under the same rules would they be beating up on him, IDK. I do know before they separated them he was winning.

Do you ever come to Indy to run? I live here. May have seen my 69 Cobra run at Norwalk. Had issues, best run out there was 11.58 on a spun bearing. Anyway would love to meet up if you ever come here to the track. Plan is to have mine back on the track come spring and back to figuring out my suspension set up.  BTW, have any pics of the car, I`m sure I`ll recognize it?
