I'm not an alarmist, or conspiracy believer as such, but there is way too much information on this thread for my comfort.  What guns I do or do not own is not something to be discussed on a public forum.  There are a few things that need to be kept private in my opinion, and weapon ownership is near the top of the list.  JMO, but the times we live in today are not safe from scrutiny behind the veil of a computer screen or phone cloud.  Joe-JDC

FE Technical Forum / Spark plug question?
« on: April 15, 2021, 05:40:36 PM »
For a 427 stroked to 482 would the Autolite Ar-3923 be a good plug to use? And what plug for a boss 460 engine stroked to 572? Thank You!

Now that I have your attention some of you might be interested to know the following.

I have a 1964 Ford Falcon with a stroked 482 Fe engine in her. I also have a Jon Kaase 429 Boss semi hemi which is really a 460 boss stroked to 572. Since the Falcon is beefed up to the max I decided to put the Boss in her. It did not work. However, it could work with a lot of cutting/modifications and getting a new hood.

I decided to put the Fe back in her. I have another almost restored car which is a 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone that the boss is going to go in and will have to beef her up as well. Actually, I'm happy to put the Fe back in. I just wanted to try it and see what happens. As the saying goes, "Why," because it's there.

Have a 427 FE with autolite plugs ap3924. Which one should I get? Autolite platnum.  Autolite copper core.  Autolite copper core resistor or autolite double platnum? Or is there another brand you would suggest? Thank You!

Do you have the CVR water adapters that will fit the 385 series blocks, specifically the 460? If not what would you recommend? Thank You!

In the past I would have said "any name brand"

However, I bought a Mahle (which is a Victor) and the difference between it and a Felpro is night and day.

- Nice soft side seals that do not need to be fit
- Proper nails, unlike Felpro with sharp side seal cutters (I use side seals, some don't)
- The seal itself looks higher quality without the pronounced casting ridge like a Felpro

Just put two together and they are sealed up tight.  Going to be my new go-to seal

Thanks, but could you be more specific, I see lots of them and am not sure which exact one you would use? Some are two pieces, one piece etc. I did not see the term "victor" either?

Of course this is a two door hardtop and does anyone happen to know if the front window regulators will work for the back windows too? Thank You!

I certaintly don't see why not. It fits nicely in my 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint stroked to 482. It does help to cut the shock towers and beef up the cars frame. The biggest help to me was to install a front (engine bay) roll cage to back and of course sub-frame connectors. Heidts front and back suspension system/four link.

Your more than welcome and it was my honor to serve. I want to thank my fellow brother veterans no matter where they served. A friend of mine told me that five women died during the Vietnam war and received (posthumously) medallions for bravery. I arrived in country in January 1968. Two weeks later the Tet offensive started. Not a good time to be a "cherry" but God brought me through it all. I married my wife who was a nursing student within two weeks of knowing her in 1969. She graduated that same year and she received letters from Uncle Sam to join. I told her no way are you going over there. Again, thank you and always remember the fallen.
