Non-FE Discussion Forum / SBF. Tunnelwedge Intakes
« on: September 14, 2026, 04:03:32 PM »
Hope this works.  Have you guys seen this on Facebook?  JAK's Performance is casting tunnelwedge's for

Windsors, Boss 302's, and Clevelands. He says he may also come out with a 3 x 2 for the 429 guys. and possibly the FE.

It will be interesting to see what they flow without the pushrod tubes.  Ease of access to all structures would seem ideal to study the effects of vane modifications and possible directional port floor vanes, that may have application to the FE.

Is the Y block prone to the same issues as the FE with cracks developing between the number 2&4 main and camshaft area? Just curious if the Y block firing order has any effect on main bearing longevity if structurally similar.

So what were the airflow and power gains of the 351 tunnelport effort over the 302 tunnelport?  Perhaps that data could be extrapolated to potential gains on the FE.  The bragging rights and eye appeal of owning a tunnelport would be nice, but would gains justify converting over?

How does the Y block rocker arm design compare to the FE in strength with two bolts per pedestal and no bolt holes in the shaft?

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with flowing tunnel port heads with Jay's intake adapter attached and Trick Flow style port flow vane modifications?
