I had these on my 68 Torino before I had the engine rebuilt. Noticed following issues with clearance when I took the engine out; Previous owner had dent a tube to make the Pitman arm able to travel all the way (manual steering so don't know anything about power steering problems) and they had also knocked off one of the boltholes/ears on the C6 (driver side) to make them fit. They were also hanging real low.
After the rebuild I put on FPA's instead. These fit like a charm and if anything they sit to high instead. I had to make an S on the exhaust pipes to get them down and in to the groove on the tranny mount. / Jan

No problem Jay, thanks for the part no, I think I will try one of those kits as well.

That is correct Heo. At least if you use a MC from a Maverick like I did when I went manual. No changes to pedal but had to buy an adjustable rod from Scott Drake. Brakes are better now than with booster and little vacuum but I still don't think I would manage to lock them on a dirt road

Hi Jay, could you please tell me the part no for that Wilwood front disc kit? I would like to upgrade the front discs on my 68 Torino as well and I reckon what is good for mr Brown is plenty good for me

Sorry for hi-jacking but Scott, I just ordered and received a set of those mounts for my 68 Torino but didn't have time to install them before I left for 4 weeks of work. What is your experience with them and what car/engine have you fitted them in/on?

Congrats Heo, great to hear that your efforts are paying off! Enjoy your week in Lycksele and do not be afraid to continue another 1000 miles to the south when it's over ;D I'll be home after the 23rd if you feel like giving the ol' Gal a real road test   ;) By the way I received the video, looked and of course sounded great  :D Now you and Erica have a great vacation!

Taking off in the garage with new wheels ;)

When I read this thread this morning I thought about writing how I hadn't had any problem with my 8595 or other MSD products. I didn't do so but the thought it self seemed to be enough to jinx my day :o ;D
After reading the thread I actually went to the local parts shop and asked them to order a spare pickup for me as recommended here. I then decided to go to another town to talk to a guy about installing an O2 meter. Halfway there, just after turning in on a bigger road the car just died. Luckily there was a bus stop just there which I could limp in to.
I have limited mechanical knowledge but understood it had something to do with the ignition. A friend of mine had earlier adviced me to keep a spare coil in the car so I decided to change that and hurray the car started again :D I turned around, went back to the parts store and asked them to add two Blaster 2 coils to the order......
So at 43 years of age I lost my roadside mechanic virginity ;D I'm just so lucky it was to something I both had the knowledge and spares for :D MSD might be an expensive choice if this continues, Blaster had 250 miles in it. :P

Hi Lars!
Brake issue better and a short test drive conducted  :D
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-_5p5YOvsfMc0t5bmVzTDlCZWM/view?usp=drivesdk
Rain and poor weather have stopped me from longer drives though but hopefully it will improve to the weekend. ;)

Will the bolt improve the stiffness or will it just prevent it from splitting?
Thought about a torque strap as well but thought I would check out if there was any polyurethane insulators or such out there first.

Hi, does anyone here know of any stiffer insulators for a 390 in a 68 Torino?
I have the anchor 2240-41 now but they seem to be a little soft. Saw that Crites sell some for 70 dollar/pair, is there anyone here with experience from those?
