I thought the cougar GT-E 427 was a hydraulic motor.

So I talked to Jay Broader and he told me to use a 1/4 NPT fitting. So I’m gonna try it. My other tranny I used an NPT fitting and it was fine for 15 years so I won’t be ripping it in there but should be fine. There must be a special fitting for it though. Even if these fittings work I’m gonna eventually get the right fitting.

I always wanted an old pickup. Does look like a good starting point. Bad timing.

Thank you was inshore if I needed O ring or flair. I’m gonna get something tomorrow I will let you know. It looks like there’s a lot of fittings that will work but it would have been nice if someone had a part number they used.

So I got a different tranny and I’m using AN fittings that screw into tranny. My old c6 tranny had I believe 1/8 inch NPT fittings that screwed in to it. I just went to put fittings in and the hole is twice as big and course thread and it has a bevel like the fitting would screw in with an O ring that would seal it. Anybody come across this. And if you did what fitting do you have. I’m using #4 lines but that’s really irrelavent I need the side that goes in tranny. Can’t use an adapter on rear one because there’s no room when tranny is in its proper location it will hit tunnel.

If they are just for mock-up why fix them at all. Maybe I’m not understanding.

So you don’t have an AFR sensor?. Someone said bump timing a little so you can lower primaries. Do yo actually see black smoke coming out exhaust. Had a weird problem on a buddies car, it stunk and was burning eyes and it was to lean. I think Ross said start from scratch transfer slots and other basics so you know we’re you are. Get timing were it’s suppossed to be and add like 3 or 4 degrees.

I second the 390. Whatever money you are putting into the 360 put it into the 390. Even a stock rebuild the 390 has to have a good 30-50 horse more.

I have a set of survival heads that I just took off my car. While I was having engine done I sent heads to Blair Patrick for valve job and check out and to do his valve job intakes had to be changed to 2.22s they originally came with 2.20s.
Exhaust is 1.66 that came with heads. I also had pads milled down to TD race rockers I do have the spacers for the proper rocker arm geometry. I am computer illiterate so I will be happy to send pics if you message me. No play in guides ready for your springs. I was going to wait and just bring them to the reunion in September but I figured maybe someone might be looking for something to finish a project.
2800.
