Make sure coolant is full also. If it’s low it could do that when thermostat opens. At that point I would have shut it off let it cool down and I bet it would be low. Just a feeling.

Cometic head gaskets that are let’s say 0.60 is that a crushed number or because they are metal shim that’s what it is. Also do they get a retorque. Does anybody put silicone around water ports. And if you do do you put it on just top and bottom or between each layer. Sorry about all the questions but better safe than sorry.
And are they torqued the same 110

What was the purpose for those tanks. Coolant above the thermostat or something like that.

If you go on the website they show a picture of both cranks and there is a big difference. You can see the difference easily. But being a cast and it definetly is thinner in some spots looks like if it was a high horsepower motor I guess it’s possible it could be a weak link.

Right on website. Cranks, rods , rotating assemblies and more. Regular cranks like 1400 and lightweights 795. Big difference

Was looking on Scats website and thought it was odd that the lightweight cranks are cheaper than the regular cranks. I would think more machining on the lightweights. Obviously there out there but they don’t list a 4.375 crank. Is it a special order.

Oh didn’t know it was specific for solid or hydraulic roller. My oil pan gasket was leaking and putting a set of heads on soon and was turning motor over and it sounds very clicky when I turn motor over. Even though motor only has 400 miles on it it seems like it has some play in it. Maybe it’s just oil making it stick to sprockets and coming off. But screw it I was gonna put one on.
