FE Technical Forum / Re: Opinions needed on head work - new, bare 60059 Edelbrocks

After 20 years and 40,00 miles, I just finished having my 428CJ stroked out to 462. I also have the Edlebrock heads that I had ported with 11/32 valves, beehive springs, Titanium locators and keepers. The compression is 11 to 1 compresion. I have the Dove Tunnel Wedge with 2 4224 Holleys. It made 564 Ft lbs torque and 584.9 HP on the engine dyno. However, I had to change the carbs out for some with vacuum secondaries so I could drive it on the street. The 4224 Holleys would not run under 2000 RPM without bucking. FYI, it ran almost $3K for the head work not including Rockers. It is in a Kit Cobra with a tremec 5 speed. It is a blast to drive.
