Have you checked with Avalon Precision Metalsmiths in Markesan, WI?  They were just purchased by Sigma, but historically they have done smaller batch precision castings.

I used a set of Napa coilovers on my 66 Galaxie.  It made a world of difference.  Better tire clearance, ride quality and handling.  I still have the original springs, while i could have replaced them, that seems to be something of a crap shoot too.

How many people do you think have a 2.8 v6?  on an FE forum?

I had one in a 77 Pinto hatchback when I was 17, but I couldn't begin to tell you how to degree the cam on one other than it shouldn't be much different than any other engine.

I generally don't reply unless I have something worthwhile to add, with this possibly being an exception.

I am thinking hard about converting my 482 to a sohc the part that scares me is getting a parts list. Who should I try for a list of what I need I am not in the USA so that adds an extra layer of problems.

I'am thinking 20k and 12 months should be close to find all parts instock and buy them dose that sound in the ball park?

If I had the cash to build a SOHC, I think I would start out with a new block, rather than taking a stout engine apart.  If nothing else, you'll still be able to enjoy your car while you are finishing the new mill.

As always, advice is worth what you pay for it.  It's easy to spend someone's money for them.

Will the Kugles fit in a 66 Galaxie?  That's a very cool build.

I know this isn't FE, but it is a very cool old Ford. I had the honor of driving this one last time to take it to auction.
This will be for sale on the R&M motors retirement auction on Monday 4/28

It has a 531superduty with a 5 spd transmission

I have a video of the truck running, but someone handier at these things than me would have to do it.

I actually want to add one, even though it didn't come with one.  The garage stall that it resides in is uncomfortably narrow and a passenger mirror would help in backing out without rearranging the sheet metal.  My driver's side mirror is rectangular and I have to readjust it every time I close the door.

Mine is loose at the ball adjustment at the mirror.  The bigger issue is that I don't have a mirror for the passenger side.

Are the reproduction rectangular rearview side mirrors decent quality, or should I be looking for an original?  The diver's side mirror on my 66 is getting sloppy and I'd like to add a mirror to the passenger side.

Thanks and Happy Easter

Snow removal is just another one of those things that we take for granted these day.  Thanks for posting a picture of your 4 horse town.

Merry Christmas

This car isn't mine, but it is local to me and might make a good project for someone.
