Just got home from work. Going to the shop tomorrow. Alternator and AC compressor are to mounted on the passenger side. We are looking fabricatiing serpentine set up. Power steering is being handled by electric under dash set up so not necessary for mounting a pump of the motor. If pictures available will post.

The shop got the motor back in the car. Not a lot of room. Exhaust fabrication to start along with inner fenders. Also bracket fabrication for the air conditioning. Unfortunately going to have to modify the hood for the stacks. Real bummer.
Cannot wait to hear the motor run again.

Thought there would be more room with front clip. Still restricted because we want to run a 325 tire up front. Unfortunately project has been ongoing for almost 30 years. Have had the car since I was 16 and always seemed something came up. I really like the motor mount design the shop came up with. Way better than what roadster shop sent.

Thanks Jay
If you did not help me out with that Munro rocker it would of been another delay.
Any updates on your rockers?

Long story tried notching the towers. Did not give me the warm fuzzy. Went with the roadster shop front clip. Set the motor back extra 3” and modified the firewall, but really worth it I think and it gives it more room for the radiator install. Finally got the motor assembled and ran on the test stand 5.5 hrs and sounded amazing with no issues. Now getting the motor back in the car for exhaust final install and the borla injection install. Some really big challenges to overcome for sure and more to come I have no doubts.

Driver side header tacked up. A real challenge for sure. 80 hours so far with the mock up of PVC pipe and tacking and fitting.

Sounds like a really cool build. Especially the EFI set up has my interest. Doing a similar build, just trying to get my headers finished before I send out to the builder. Look forward to reading the updates.

Long time lurker. My first car. 25 years later. The SOHC was a after thought now that parts are readily available. After meeting financial commitments and family commitments finally got the green light to finish the car. Got the motor mocked up and looking at starting the header fabrication this week. Have the TCP set up so it allows a little more notching of the towers.

Just getting ready to fabricate a set of headers for my pond heads. Just curious what size of primaries people are running? Motor is for the street.

Just sent payment to pond. Should have the set of heads and manifold in a couple of weeks. I am anticipating that they will be as high quality as the other components that I purchased from him. Sure has been a long wait. Was going to purchase coon heads now that they are readily available but decided to wait out for the pond heads ,because he actually returned my emails and phone calls.
