I think you'll be disappointed by the idle stop solenoid. The solenoid is good a "holding" the throttle in position once it is energized but is not strong enough to push the throttle open. If you're idling at a stop and your AC compressor engages, the idle speed will still drop until you tap the throttle allowing the solenoid plunger to extend and hold the throttle in position.
