FE Technical Forum / Re: SOHC Crate Engine On BAT
« on: February 22, 2023, 10:54:20 AM »
Last week, BAT would not list my 67 Fairlane NSS, Ryan Dowing tribute car because my reserve was too high and would need to come down.  I asked what they would accept as a reserve to list and got no response from BAT.

So, it's listed on Hemmings Classified now.

Do you need me and Ken to come up to cut a hole in the trans tunnel for the 4-speed?   :P

Great stories!  I have 2 daughters.  One will be a senior in college this year, the other a senior in high school.

A few years back they come home with my wife and say dad, there's some tuner cars down the street at the park.  Let's get in the Fairlane and go down there.  My Fairlane is pretty rowdy sounding, with a pretty large solid roller, etc.  So, I say okay and we drive down there and drive through where the tuner cars are parked with the Fairlane rumbling as we slowly drive by them and they are all staring at us.  My daughters absolutely loved it and can't stand tuner cars.  Makes a father proud.

They both will send texts with pictures of 60's Mustangs, etc. and Ford trucks to me from time to time, when they're out and about.

FE Technical Forum / Re: Information on Mississippi 427 Fairlane
« on: July 04, 2021, 12:49:39 PM »
If the car is truly a 66 R code, then the original color was not Aqua.  The original color of all 66 R code Fairlanes were Wimbledon White.

You might try the "66 67 427 fairlane/67 427 comet registry" on Facebook to see if anyone may have info or be able to help out.

The tech guys at my local track (NHRA) are requiring I put on a diaper. (Insert incontinency joke here ::)) In the past I've been allowed to slide without one since the F100 is street legal. But now we have a new sheriff in town.

Bandimere?  Is there an E.T. in which they require a diaper?

With the parts Jay is doing (heads, intakes, water pump adapters, etc.), the TFS heads/intakes, etc., what other FE engine components, drive-train components, etc. does the forum feel there is still a void for?

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Car cover
« on: September 12, 2020, 04:52:05 PM »
I am looking to purchase another car cover.  I have a California Car Cover that is nice, but man they are expensive. I don't mind paying for quality, but wanted to see if anyone here had any suggestions on a high-quality cover that isn't as expensive as California car cover's.

Thanks,
John
