I dont have a BBM block , but would think for sure a call to them is warranted. Thats alot of money to be out to have to start drilling oil passages.

FE Technical Forum / Re: 397ci Tunnel Port Dyno Mule Build

Cool build Brent, if nothing else you need a good shop truck to drop that down in! Every shop truck needs tunnel ports dont they?? All seriousness id like to see you throw a 3bl in there on the dyno to see how it stacks up to the dominator.

The coating definitely helps and adds to the price , nice stuff for sure!

Dan , there is a few issues that may effect the older repop manifolds. Krugel components build them now with out a pm and with the heat stove missing . Those two issues don't matter to most people that are just adding them to say a 64 Galaxie where as the pn wouldn't be correct anyway. Yours with the C1AE number would be better suited for someone using them on say a 61or early 62 that needed the part number out side of that aspect the newer repops at a reduced price will win over. I hope you don't take what I'm saying wrong just trying to help as to a possibility as to why no action. That and seems as if everything is starting to slow down as the economy is shifting to something close to what it was in 08.

I got a method kinda to this. I always spray the cylinders down with kroil or atf. Take the rockers off and hit all of the serval times to make sure they are not stuck. Prime the oil pump . Then rebuild or swap the carb to a known "good" carb. Change out the fuel pump to a new one. Verify said fuel. Check the distributor for fire, get that all sorted. Then hit it, should fire right up if everything is correct. The last one i did like this was my old 684 door galaxie i drove every where. It had set since 82, and once i did all that ran like a Swiss watch. That motor was kinda of slugged up , so before i changed the oil i poured about a pint of deisel fuel in with the oil to cut the sludge out. Once i had it running good i tuned it all up and , changed the oil  and all the filters and water pump and timing chain. That is a big deal to get ride of the oil nylon gear if its still there. Thanks Lance
