I have, she loves to ride in the Comet, she here's it start up she comes running to make sure I not leaving without her.  Hope she stays that interested, but only time will tell.  She loves going to the drag strip.  Going to go this year and let her watch the Jr dragsters, hopefully I can get her into one of them in a few years.

Enjoy the build with Cam, looking good, love the grills on those trucks.

Thanks for the advice.  Is the 105 actually mirrored in the casting?  Not looking to stock pile a lot of them just have a few around for future projects.  Like to put FE in anything I can.  Always looking for FE parts to add to the collection.

Great to see your sons interest in old cars, has to be a great feeling for you to get to spend this time with him.  I have a 4 y.o. Daughter that loves Daddy's Hot Rods so far, just hope she keeps that love as she grows older.  Want to help her find a nice 60's Ford about the time she is 14 y.o. to start redoing so that she has it when she gets her drivers license.  Something she can do a lot of the work on herself with my help.  Think she will appreciate it more knowing the work that went into it to get it finished.

I'm wanting to pick up a couple 390 blocks to build strokers with.  Have a project coming up that I am wanting to do 445 stroker.  I have a few buddies with salvage yards that I can have on the lookout for blocks coming in.  I'm just not sure what blocks are best for my needs, or how to tell them apart.  Mirror 105 block is talked about a lot.  What years am I looking for, where do I look for markings and so on?  Since I have a few connections in the salvage business thought it would be good to gather a couple extra blocks for future projects or to help out a fellow FE builder.
Thanks!!
Rodney

Yes one lucky SOB pretty much sums it up.  I was not so lucky, but hey now I dont have to worry about the other half needing all of my time.  So why aint I getting as much work done as Jay?  I am just not on my FE's, building a new house myself is time consuming. Hopefully in a year I can get back to work on a few of my cars and go racing.

My 3" exhaust runs under the axle , only thing I dont care for is seeing more of it from the sides.  Does make it easier to drop it all off to go to the track.

So glad to hear it all came together and you are on your way to Dragweek.  As I have said in all the past post, I wish you the best of luck.  You are going to make it there now the fun and the next step of hard work begins.  I was hoping to make it to Dragweek as a spectator but I too have been busy (in a different way) but wont be there as they are supposed to start digging the basement for my new house.

Good Luck!!

Good to see you are hanging in there on the shelby clone build, wish you the best of luck.  I know what those thrashs are like, they are no fun, but always seem to happen on our builds.  Im glad to see you have a good group of friends to help you, thats a great feeling to know you have friends willing to help you out.  I know I have a few good friends, we seem to bail each other from time to time.  Only wish I was closer to give you a helping hand.

When you get home from winning Drag Week this year, are you going to sleep for a week :)

Jay I would enjoy coming over and helping a day a week also, but thats a long drive back and forth from Ohio.  So I will regretiblily only be able to offer a prayer or two.  Best of luck!!  Keep pushing forward and thanks for the interesting blog that reminds me of all those last minute crunch times I too run into on projects.  Now I need to get started on a new project, been to long for me.
