What I call "Magic Soap"

Soaps I have been mixing up for over 25yrs. Most of the time just spray on and rinse with hot water. Some times it takes a bit of wipe with a soft cloth.
If you notice the diff it made on wiring etc too. Clean everything with it. Some Items I will also use Evapo-Rust

Care to share the recipe, or will Tyler Durden show up for talking about making soap in too open of a manner?  :-)

All I can do is show what the magic soap does . .  LOL  j/k

Gave inside of box a quick wash

Where is the dealership where you found this truck on the floor? :)

KS

Found abandoned from new inside the old Read Mullan Ford Dealership here in Phoenix . . LOL  It was built in November 1969 but not sold until June 1970. Guess it was a bit expensive for average buyer.  At first was not sure of color combo myself but now its starting to look great. Per Marti Report only 69 F250's were built in this color combo.

Few of Dash and interior

Inside of doors look NOS

What method/products do you use to clean the underside of the hood, firewall, etc to get the years of baked on gunk off?  It looks great!

Sorry to hear that Jay.

Do you have any more manifolds available on first run?

Very cool! Here in the Midwest, those trucks were rode hard and put away wet....with lots of road salt providing some serious lightening of the gross vehicle weight  :(

Nary a pinhole on this truck. Inside the box barely has any scratches let alone rust. Original paint will look nearly new once detailed except for the drivers fender which had a parking lot bump.  Very unusual for Arizona veh 44yrs old to have this nice of paint.

A bit of very thin surface rust on undercarriage chassis stuff that ford left bare metal but sheet metal is 100% solid.

What a score! What are your plans for the truck?

I have too many trucks now and prefer the 65-66 Which I have much more parts for.  I had no plans to tear this one apart but now its like the rest of my trucks scattered all over the place.  Its those "MightasWell's"  That keep adding up!

Plan is to sell once I get it back on road. ALready buried in it though.

Man, where are all these 67-72 pickups coming from LOL!  Great looking truck, and in unbelievable shape.  I used to have a 3/4 ton 2WD with the 360.  You guys are making me want another one...

Its even nicer than the crappy cell phone pics show!  Give me a few more weeks for some better pics . . .

Lookin' Good!
The 70's have a lot of one year only parts on them. Of the 67-72's Think I like the 70 Grille the best. Yours looks to be in great shape.

Any rust on truck? Where are you located?

Pretty much went thru complete front end so it was mechanically sound.

Back together now. Those front brakes are HUGE!

Only bump was a very minor one to left front fender, I had a nice fender just need to paint it.

Check out the original finish on parts factory left bare metal. Had very light surface rust which I cleaned up. No blasting needed.

All front end parts had factory paint markings still on them.

I could not leave well enough alone so pulled the front clip for a good going thru. Front was super tight with exception to the Radius Rod and I Beam Pivot Bushings. Still were tight but a bit dry rotted so replaced them.
