Yep. Pulled that out. I guess I should have tried to install the yoke before putting the trans in. I'll try and see in there with a light and go from there.

I have a Tremec TKX trans that I'm installing into my 67 mustang. I have this transmission yoke. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-731006
I pulled the rubber sleeve that goes over the output shaft from the factory and tried to install the yoke and it only goes in about an inch and stops hard. Anyone had this problem before? I have read that others have lightly tap it in and out a couple of times with a rubber mallet and that helped but have also read that others have slipped right in. I would hate to damage something on a new trans.

A1 shows it in stock when I search the part number but I would call and confirm first.

I'm looking at these Holley EFI kits and wondering if one  would be better or if it's a toss up.
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_injection/terminator_x/terminator_x_and_x_max_stealth_4150/terminator_x_stealth_4150/parts/550-1003
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_injection/sniper_efi/sniper_efi_stealth_4150/super_sniper_efi_stealth_4150_-_650hp/parts/550-875
Car is a 67 mustang fastback street car
Tremec 5 speed
3.70 gears
427 FE with Trick flow heads and a factory PI intake
Hydraulic roller cam.
Holley Dual Sync distributor
Holley also has two in-tank fuel pumps a 255gph and a 350gph which would be correct for this app?

I'm looking at possibly doing either the sniper stealth or the terminator stealth for my mustang.  What fuel pump are you planning on running?

If I was going to remove the factory shock towers from a Ford this is the kit I would use. https://mikemaierinc.com/products/64-73-mustang/front-suspension/64-70-mustang-mod-2-front-suspension-kit/

The mustang II style kits create comprises and other problems.

Look up pictures of Bruce Camberns Cobra. He built a different style carb pan and used a flat K &N style filter sealed to the hood.
