I would suggest also getting Barry's newest book on rebuilding the FE . It's geared more to the basics of Fe building for the person who wants to do it them selves in there garage. Well worth it IMHO. Good luck with your build.

Out of curiosity, would one be able to use a pair of street demons on the Edelbrock intake ?

With all due respect to everyone here, I'm not nowhere near off the knowledge and experience as the rest of y'all here , it would seem to me in my humble and honest opinion that unless a person is wanting to squeeze every last hp and tq out of a motor, that either the TFS or BBM would be an excellent choice . It really just boils down to availability and how soon a person wants to get a motor together. With all that said if it were me I would go with the BBM'S.

Piston to valve clearance to me could be a problem. Perhaps the more knowledgeable folks here will chime in on this though.

FE Technical Forum / Fe water pumps
« on: June 04, 2021, 10:27:57 AM »
Awhile back, the subject of water pumps came up and the bracket fitment for some people useing the Stewart/ EMP pump was mentioned. I just got off the phone with them and learned that we can send our old stock pumps to them and they will rebuild it with there new internals and bearings for around 70$ plus shipping. So that would be a great alternative that would avoid any fitment issues especially for the early motor pumps. Just thought I'd pass this information along. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend 🙂

Thanks, on the ones with the longer pilot, can spacers be used on the bolts,or would that cause it to extend too far into the pump?
