I hope that the pickup was the problem. About the calvert shocks I just experienced the same problem they made me measure from the shock plate to the upper shock mount where it goes through the floor at ride hieght and it was exactly 16 inches. They sent me shocks that onlt had 1 inch of travel, I called them and they sent me the shocks for 65-66 mustangs and now I have 2.5 inches, by the way most know but I have a 67 fastback. They said it was either one or the other, and my luck of course it was the other. Car is looking good it wont be long now

That's what someone said on the other forum about why the pushrods bent shit I guess it's possible, better than the piston hitting it.Old rocker was a FPP or the POP ones like them a lot as far as spring pressure not really sure I have survival heads and those springs are good to 600 lift and I have 625 so I am assuming that he put on springs to match the cam

Hey Nightmist the lifter are still in there and they move freely I didn't take them out but if I put a good pushrods in there and lift up just the oil that's on top grabs the lifter enough that it comes up a half inch before it separates I just hope everything else is ok called Doug from precision for a pushrods but he didn't call me back, I will call him again in the morning

ok guys on my way to work driving nice and easy cause I had open headers from track a couple of weeks ago, car started to run ruff at first thought it was like a bad pickup but then heard a noise popped off valve cover and #3 cylinder exhaust rocker broke. Nice clean brake and checked pushrod for straightness ( good). Being this is the second time that a rocker broke I ordered a set of harland sharps because I have one on there already. Upon further inspection found intake pushrod bent, had a borascope and tried to look down plug hole but cant see that side of piston, why do you think that happened should there be somthing else to look for

fryedaddy Im 50 and I watch westerns all the time Im a bonanza and rifleman and gunsmoke guy and I think I watch them because its better than all the crap thats on today. My kids make fun of me but every once in a while they will be sitting there while Im watching and I will catch them watching it, so towards the end of the show I will change the channel and they will be like hey I want to see what happens at the end, of course I have seen every show a million times so I know how it endsbut its cool to know that for alittle while they were liking it

I often thought about that. I figure it can't be as bad as doing the quarter mile, it's not like we are downshifting, wonder what the big guys think

Shafiroff  now makes ford motors 351 stroked to 459 cubic inches I believe. I can find out for sure because my brother in law has one in his 68 Stang. It makes 790 horse, of course thats his bad as on they come alittle tamer. It goes but its not an FE. Something about popping the hood and seeing that big block with duel quads that just gives ya alittle chubby
