i got my papaws old 73 f250 running a month or two ago after it sat for 10-15 years.80,000 miles on it.heres whats worrying me.my oil pressure has been half way or better on the stock guage ever since i got it running.this morning i drove it and about a mile from my house i noticed my oil pressure gauge was reading about 1/4 instead of 1/2 and buy the time i got home it dropped to barely reading1/8.it dont smoke or peck.what could have happened.

on the walmart receipt it says not to worry if you lose your receipt,we can look it up buy the numbers on the battery, but when they looked up mine it was not even in the system so they would not exchange it.i went home and found the receipt and went back, they tried looking it up again and said im sorry there is nothing in the system that shows you even bought it.then i whipped out my receipt and showed it to them and i said is it in the system now.they gave me a new one and the price had changed and they gave me 21 dollars too. why was my battery purchase not in the system

if you buy a battery from walmart you better keep the receipt.i took one back that went bad and they said they could not find it in the system so they could not exchange it.luckily i went home and found the receipt in my box of receipts with my comet build.

back in the 80s i had a diehard i think we called it a 12 inch, but anyway i drove to work one morning, left my headlights on the whole 8 hour shift, when i saw my headlights still on i turned them off and hit the starter button and it fired right up after 8 hours of being on.

i would like to have one of those lithium batteries.i think they only weigh about 5 or 10 pounds, about 15 volts and you can mount them anywhere, sideways, upside down, etc.

on the street i use the purple 19 with 14 int,but i use 1 light blue spring and 1 of the next heavier springs because my timing was jumping around at fast idle with 2 light springs.when i added the heavier one on one side it stopped jumping around.

JAY,i know the fairlanes and cyclones are too heavy, but i believe the early falcons are a few hundred pounds lighter, like the chevy2 and dart, they are the lightest cars that might work for that class. 1963 falcon curb weight is 2304 pounds

When i tried the two light springs it tried to advance at idle making it hard to time,so i put one heavier spring and one lite spring and it worked perfect
