8)jay, ive been having to re machine two milodon hemis for 1 of my business partners two willys and reproduce the head studs .but in the process im also cutting the pan rail section off a FE block all the way to the cap registers and will drill the head bolt holes all the way thru and using the head studs to hold the main girdle to the block alonge with the main studs.Similar to milodons block design, this way I will quit driving over the rotating assembly on the ground and hopefuly be able to make more boost with twin turbos or NOS.i can make the studs and machine the block if you want to try and make the girdle,it can be billet and be plenty strong for my design.

The 12.5 to 1 trw part number for 390 pistons is L2292.theyr great pistons and like methanol and steel head gaskets.regular felpro goskets will blow between the back cylinders and the water jacket. bot im known to twist my moters extreamly hard as the side of a service block that hangs over my for the last 30 years will attest to.

Im setting it up to do 1/8th mile to start until I get the chassis dialed in.im using  33"tall tires with 5.29 gears, full spool and c-6 with 3500 stall converter with trans brake.rear suspension is 4 link with sliding wish bone, and cantileverd coil over shocks with combo anti rollbar.so its going to take some tweeking to get it to not twist and go straight.then we will put the fogger to it!

Im Jim,glad to be a member of the FE Power Forum!Im here to have a good time with all the FE members, not get into long drawn out debates  that go with concourses, pebble beach,or marti.Been there done that too many times, been doing that 30+years.so I will try to keep this short and sweet and I hope I can explane a little about the u-13 broncos that jay posted of the one my two nephews and I restored.the biggest thing is they had the fiberglass door inserts as a base, you could opt for steel doors but that changes the way the title will read.real u-13 will say roadster not bronco on the title.ie 1966 FORD ROADSTER.roadsters were made 66,67,68.then nader killed them.the fiberglass door inserts are one of the most popular things to doo to a early bronco. the one that im making the outlaw grudge racer out of is a d.s.o.84 u-13 rodaster, which is HOME OFFICE RESERVE,more known as a holeman moody stropp bronco.By no meens am I saying this was a HMS bronco.its a HOME OFFICE RESERVE.it was built the first week of October in 1965 and was built with a v8 all dates matching.FORD did not start producing v8 broncos until march of 1966.so all the bronco fans will know I will bring it back to as nice of condition as the other one I restored.but only after im done having fun with my 427 powerd project is done.WITH THAT SAID LETS JUST RACE AND LET ME BEAT UP SOME CAMAROS AND NOVAS.
