FE Technical Forum / What pulleys were on a 427 sohc
« on: July 23, 2013, 12:20:47 AM »
Hi
Wondering what front pulleys on the water pump and crank, only looking for single grove ones  were on the 427 sohc , as am looking for stock or similar stock for the coupe engine, I have heard  61-62 thunderbird , as well as 61-62 galaxies, anyone have some insight to this, As cant run after market  ones as not the right look for engine style.
Thanks Paul

Thanks for the kind words,  I was planning on running sides on the car but once the engine  went in the side scoops were going to be huge, and much happier with the look now, the fire wall has been moved back 3 inches, to fit the engine on to stock length 32 rails, We have not stretched it like Mike Martins Yellow coupe was done.

The front end is Stainless steel I beam 3 inch drop, Buick finned brakes with disc brakes hidden in side , steel grill frame, Dan fink insert. and much more .

Engine side of things still working on, To stroke or leave standard, any ideas on this . Car is street drive and making it as reliable as possible. But hilborne fast system is what is going to be using.

Will post photos of the chassis soon as well as the header build which is going to be fun. headers are going to run on the out side of the chassis. Cheers
