I stopped over at Jays and saw the sand patterns. Amazing stuff. I am in awe that Jay has no formal or vocational training in this automotive design and casting field, yet here he is wazzing out top shelf stuff.

I had a 74 LN700T with a 4 speed Brownie box. The shift knob was marked with an H pattern that had 1 2 3 4 N. Then there was a sticker on the dash or visor or somewhere that had the H pattern and explained each gear: low, under, direct, over.  The shift pattern is not like a car either.

I would leave the rods just like they are. I wouldn't want to go any tighter than .003 on a performance build. And .0005 loose is not worth changing. I've run .0035 -.0039 with zero issues.
