FE Technical Forum / Re: All things FE Headers.
« on: May 13, 2021, 10:55:44 AM »
I think this post is a great idea and can be really informative.  Figured I would add a couple pictures to help keep it going. I got these Kustom brand headers years ago from the a member on the 428Cobrajet forum and they have been sitting on a shelf for a while. I was told they don't interfere with the clutch linkage on 69-70 CJ Mustangs.  I still plan to use them some day,  so we shall see.

Those are a Headman header. I had those on my 66 Cyclone GT. No problem with the clutch linkage.

The same owner also had a 69 Boss 429 that they were auctioning.

I think something like the Edelbrock ProPorts but with TP port spacing would be a good idea. I also think that there is a market for matching intake manifolds.

FE Technical Forum / Re: 2" primary headers loss vs. 2 1/8

People with only bumper jacks tended not to have welders to put those tabs on.

I think they listed the three step #6374 headers for a couple years, 1 7/8", 2" and 2 1/8" tube steps. But i wonder if they ever made any? I've never seen a set and when i tried to get some they were not available.

I saw a set on a C/SA car at Seattle several years ago but I don't remember who's.

I have been waiting for this for our '97 F350. The 460 in it now is a total gas hog....like 6 mpg gas hog, and no power to give it an excuse for sucking down so much gas.

Now the question.....what transmission bolts behind that thing?

Price tag isn't terrible at all.

It uses the same bell housing as the Mod motors and Coyotes.
