FE Technical Forum / Roller Rocker valve stem alignment

This roller tip/valve stem does not look to be in alignment. Do I need to have the rocker arm milled so i can get a shim in there to get the alignment correct? This is Harladn Sharp Street rockers Also it looks like the end stands may be hitting the tops of the APR head bolts. is that common and do you typically have to mill the end stands?

FE Technical Forum / Rocker arm stud/ valve cover fittment

I have a set of tall Mr Gasket valve covers. supposed to be 4" tall. I have a set of Survival Motorsports Heads, with the Edlebrock/ARP rocker arm studs. The studs extend appx 7/8" above the rocker arm stand, keeps the valve cover from fitting down on the head?
is this a typical ocurance? I would like to get this motor buttoned up

Does anyone know were the 1964 FE Blocks Ford Blue or were they painted black? For some reason, I am thinking black. I don''t want the engine bay filled with a Ford Blue FE motor in my 1964 Fairlane, if Ford was painting them black
