FE Technical Forum / Broken off bolts
« on: April 18, 2019, 05:52:55 AM »
Broken off bolts is a thing that probably hit all of us
sooner or later. This is how i solve it, leads to victory
11 times out of 10

First i drill a hole and countersunk it in some piece of steel

Place it over the bolt

Weld and let it cool for a couple of minutes

Victory

There is a military exercise with 10000 men around where i live
Saw this convoy  of tank trailers with the machineguns up on the roof,
some of them covered with saltmixed snowmuck. I guess some guys
have the hands full to night, cleaning and greasing the machineguns

I got boored with installing windows in the house so i decided
to visit a friend and See what he is up to. We been friends from
the age of 2-3, built a lot of stuff together when we where kids
From valvespring propelled canons, wipermotor driven tanks,
Go carts, dunebuggys, guns, huts in the woods and so on
when we where 8-9 years old He got a Chevy Nova and i got
a Model -A coupe  from our fathers so it has been the Chevy
Ford rivalry since then :D
He bought someones abandoned project, A -55 Chevy wagon.
With "finished" chassie, got a -9 inch rear end, unknown SB
probably, some anemic Van engine, TH 700.
  He had just shortened
the banjo and was resplining the driveshafts . The body
is at the bodyshop and got the wheel wells widened in to
the frame and  was painted inside and under
Probably it end up with this engine

A 496 with a 8/71 Blower he had in his -70 Corvette before he sold it

Camp Thrash outside our Motorshow -92. Me and a friend throw out two of the
drunktards, so they decided to brake in to the Army storage across the street
and steal a Hägglunds bandwagon and go cruising in that ;D ;D ;D The coops
chased them down. But they decided to go offroad through peoples gardens and
parks. One coop tried to block them with his car, they just run over the car but when
they landed on the other side the wire they used to hotwire it lost the connection
so it stalled ;D ;D ;D. This is from a film some Polish TV guy made, to show the
Swedish sin. And he chosed my one horse town of some reason ??? ;D
The most popular grill in town had to have 3 security gards at nights to stop
all the fights inside the grill and on the parking lot outside ;D ;D ;D
And today when you tell people how it was they dont belive you ??? ;D ;D
The girl in the rocking black GM fullsize is from my village

cold day and instal the tach and just enyoy...yea right ::)
The red pointer was impossible to move and someone
had taken a set of pliers to try to move it and dented
the knob and scratched the glass >:(
The A-holes sent me some ones reject.
Maybe they have bought a load of rejects cheap, thats why they are
marginaly cheaper than Summit
Wounder who get this when i have returned it
No more Amazon for me

Any one who knows, whats the difference stationwagon/ not stationwagon
gastanks on 64 Galaxie. What i can see on the pictures its only the filler tube.
Easy to replace if the rest is the same, the stw tank is so much cheaper so worth

A 68 Shelby With a SOHC That was in next town from me early 80s
Had a Cobra that had catched a Rat painted on the side.
Was owned by Ture Ström a older guy , ehmm in his 50s . That was incredibly old then ::)
He also had a  Turbocharged early 60s T-Bird, innovative in the early 80s :o

And why it not have a scoop on the roofpillar is beacuse they started with a empty body and could not find the scoops for a shelby

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Reflektions... warning long rant
« on: October 16, 2018, 04:00:31 AM »
I made some reflections yesterday.Totally unrelated and borderline political
Me and the wife was to the next bigger town yesterday, and went in to one of
the big malls ( Side note The town is Luleå where the worlds first shopping mall was built by Ralph Erskine)
While the wife discussed eyelashes and whatever with the woman at the makeupstore i walked around in
the mall,to find someplace to have a coffee. There was esspressohouse,Wayne's coffee, and whatever with
Soya latte and crap like that, pastry and sandwiches you could not pronounciate the name on.
And some dork behind the counter called a barista thinking he was a superhero because he could make some ersatz coffee.
With a trendy interior that will be outdated by December
At the tables everybody stared at their smartphones with dead eyes like they where alone and abandoned.
Except for the gang of Somalians that sounded like a flock of fighting dogs
When i reached the other end of the mall the sun came out of the clouds angels started to play, there it was.
 :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
Börje Olssons Cafe´ established 1958, newly built not in fake retrostyle with rotten lumber, some rusty old license plates and
"patina" junk.
But like a cafe`was built in Sweden in the 50s with light wood paneling stainless and brass
When i lived in that town in the 80s,  i used to go to Olssons Cafe`that was in another place, i thought
they hade vanished a long time ago.  This was a bigger copy of the old place, with Real coffe not some made up
skimlattenuttastingsewerwater.
Pastry and sandwiches i could recognise and pronounciate not a smartpone in sight
people at the tables talking to each others with a smile at their face, in a voice that not was heard over the whole mall
The waitress behind the counter don't had lips like a duck and eyebrows like some one had wiped a dipstick from a diesel engine
across the forehead
Me and the wife sat down for a Salmon and egg sandwish and a danish and a real coffee it was like heaven. Smiling people that was
aware that there was a living world around them, not rotating around them
Call me anti progress if you like and if someone got offended or i stepped on someones toes i dont charge extra for that
