I don't know how we survived to grow old Heo! Some of the stunts we pulled are surely forbidden today. Your friend has some nice cars there
and does good work. Steve

Thank you Jay. That was exactly the point I was trying to get across. Steve

Make sure you maintain clearance between the bearing and pressure plate fingers. As the disc wears this clearance goes away. You will burn the
clutch quickly when this happens. Steve

Good thing the motor didn't inhale it. Steve

If you can find an OE yellow top Ford coil and they are hard to beat. The new repro's not so much. Steve

Maybe the Ford engineers were smart enough to know all the experts were just gonna tear them apart anyway. They spec'd a cam that would tick most of the boxes and run good.
And yes I was one of those experts that had to reinvent the wheel. Steve

Don't use a split lock washer. Mine leaked constantly with them. Steve

I'm with you Rusty. Always loved the '55 Chevy with the cammer called Payback. Can you imagine all the Bozo's heads exploding? Steve

If you drove a new bronze pilot bushing in that may be your problem. Have had several that the bushing would fit the pilot shaft until you drove it into the crank.
Not sure but I suspect poor machining or material. A complete bitch to get them back out. Steve

Have had good luck with a product called K-Seal. Used it on a Toyota V6 and it's still holding. Doesn't have all the chunks in it either. Worth a shot. Steve

Not sure if these are gasoline proof. Might look at Permatex products #85420 and #85249. They are Hylomar based and I have used them with decent results. Steve

See if you can borrow a vacuum cooling system filler. Sounds like it is still air locked. Steve

That's just really bad news. Didn't know the man but would have liked to. He lived about 125 miles north of me and my son played basketball with some kids from there. Just a good
old Iowa boy. Rest in peace and condolences to the family. Steve

I don't think you're gonna like the pusher fan at all. First issue is they cover a lot of the radiator. Second issue is they sound terrible, guess it's because
they are deadheaded trying to blow through. All the ones I've been around sound like a jet engine. Steve
