I bought this car last summer from a buddy. His dad who has long passed bought the car in 71. The car has had an array of engines and trans over the years. It’s been sitting for around 35 years. It came with the hurt 427.
I’ve got the body off the frame and have had the frame & all suspension pieces blasted & powder coated. With any luck I’ll get the body back on this weekend or next. I’ve got all the engine pieces I need & will start that assembly soon. My plan is to get it running & drive it this summer and make the topside pretty next winter

Welcome and great project.
Post some pictures of where you started with it and how it’s going.

Awesome project, and welcome!

Yes, we must have pics!
I looked at one in my neck of the woods two years back. No motor or trans. Not many of ‘em made.

Welcome aboard Mike! Been meaning to reach out to you to see how this great project was going.

I’ve got a few pics on my phone & I’ll have to figure out how to post them.
I’ve got the body off the frame now. The frame & all suspension pieces have been blasted & powdercoated and reassembled. I’ve been working on the floor & trunk and hope to get the body back on the frame this weekend. I’ve got most of the motor pieces and will start that assembly soon.
My goal is to get it running and drive it this summer & then make the topside pretty later.

Sounds like you are making good progress. Glad I could help out with a few important pieces.

Mike, I would like to see pics of the upper control arms.
R-codes full size 1965-67 were supposed to get the police shaft bushings.
Most of the 65 Rs I've seen did not get them.

I don’t believe mine are any different than the 6cyl parts car I bought. I’ll get pictures tonight

The car is running now. I took it on its maiden trip last Thursday.
I’ve got a video but do not know how to post it here.

If you put your video up on youtube, you can post a link to it here.
