Maybe this is why I don't really like turbos.  In my youth they were like this.    ;D

If I knew how to send videos my buddy with an 80 malibu with a strong LS not a junk yard motor with 14 lbs of boost running 8.74 @ 157 and it will accept 25 lbs of boost.  Small camshaft and extremely streetable he does dragweek.

Man, sounds about like "hammering" on a mid 80s Crown Vic...no sound...no acceleration.

Anyway, first car was an '86 Turbo T bird, actually a pretty quick car for that time period.  But I still remember how laggy they were....floor it....nothing....nothing...nothing...nothing....then 3700rpm the turbo would spool and actually move the car out.

I just thought it was funny, especially with Low, Medium, and High lights coming on.  You know you're going fast when a light says so.  :)

Can you imagine that beast without the turbo?

It's to let you know something is still going on, like the spinning wheel when a web page is loading. :)
